Understandable......Thats when someone has the choice to hand the money back and let her know she's slippin....Maybe tell the manager what took place, but i wouldnt want to throw someone under the bus but that is an option.....She could have mistaken the 100's for 20's, whatever the reason may be....It was a mistake that should not be made where money transactions take place........So i understand the point of view of keeping the money but dont agree with it.......
I, personally, would give the money back...'cause that's the kind of dude I am. I understand if dude doesn't though, and I wouldn't hate him for it. All in all, it's a gamble.

And for the people who dont give a fuck about others thats on them.......Why do you have to bring yourself to their level.......This attitude is why people with genuine hearts go bad and then we pass this negativity around.....Its a cycle that we can prevent......
I give a fuck about people...but I'm frustrated at the same time, ya dig? I'm one of those people that WANTS to work...but I haven't been able to find shit out there. So when I go to a place of business and deal with a moron, it just pisses me off. You know, people that don't know about service...people that stare at a cash drawer trying to figure out how to give you $1.67 in change...shit like that.

Man FUCK THAT. If its one of those Check Cashing places, then I wouldnt even trip on givin that money back. It was her ERROR. She went ABOVE and BEYOND to go to your house with that police threat shit. Its on her. At the end of the day, SHE is responsible for that money. Just like if she was workin a cash register, she come up short, its on the person thats working that register. Shit, she would have to PROVE that she gave me over, and even then, its STILL on her. Everytime a register come up short at like McDonalds or something, do you think they have an employee that try to search a muthafucca out AT THEY HOUSE to get back some cash they made a mistake on? NAW, they charge that person who was RESPONSIBLE.

I agree with Joey to a degree. Everyone's always trying to get over on one another and so it never ends. Check cashing places are parasites that pray on poor people to begin with, then her dumb ass fucks up, then she tries to cover it up by punking you at your house..

But even with all that said, give it back. Be different. It's $400 but it's your chance to do the right thing..

i noticed that JR916 hasnt posted recently. did he get arrested?

in the legal system there is always a but. you can successfully argue anything.

that is why we have the appellate and the supreme court.

Atty's are taught to research and find the law. people get this misconception they HAVE to be some sort of einstein( i was one of them). what they do need to do is be dedicated, and like everything else, some are flat out lazy letting people get wrongly convicted or charged with the wrong crime.(People v. Amber S.)

I just look at it like this.....what comes around goes around and its a fucked up world. by keeping that money, you are sealing your fate to never come up on shit again in your life. Thats why I said in my last post to give the money back and start buying scratcher. By being the better person now, you will be rewarded 10 fold in your life. Unless $400 dollars is enough for you.
Not everyone believes in karma and there's no way to prove it exists.

Like I said, I would generally "do the right thing," but in this particular incident, I would have no sympathy for the bitch.

ok wait...so are you saying she NEVER once counted the money out in front of you?? just handed you a stack of bills and let it be?

first things cops will ask you is why didnt you count money there? what if she would have given you a bunch of ones under the top $100??? shorted you by $200 how would you prove she did that then?

they will flip the script on you.
You are never obligated to double-check your own money. Just like you're never obligated to re-count your change at the store. I NEVER re-count my change and the few times I've cashed a check, the person did count out the money for me, but did I pay attention? Nope. Would I have known if I got ripped off at the time? Nope. There is no law that forces you to double-check someone else's work.

Personally I'd return the money. It's not worth the potential trouble.

But on tha real... Check cashing??? REALLY, GET A FUCKING BANK ACCOUNT...

Why would you pay those crazy fees when you can do it (pretty much) for free?

Fuck that JR! Thats your money now dude! You didnt do shit wrong, you took what was given to you by some dumb bitch that cant do her job right. Theyre arent going to sue you it would cost multiple times the loss of revenue to get you to court. They cant prove anything, this bitch is in deep shit and thats why she showed up at your door. Do you really think a company would send a single female to retrieve money from someone? Shes tryin to cover her ass. Keep that shit, and smile in her face next time you go in there.

And youre not doing anything immoral. The fuck? This money wasnt going to poor kids and you stole it away, thats your cash now man, bank that shit for the Portland trip.

i understand there is no "obligation" to check or watch them count. but thats my money, I make sure when I would cash a check it would get counted right in front of me and re count once I leave as well.

but have been using direct deposit for over 10 years, fuck going to a bank or cash checking place and wasting time and money!

it would cost $30 to file a claim up to $1500 in small claims court. They wont do it but that lady will have to pay for it.

And youre not doing anything immoral.
knowing she gave him more money than she should and not returning it is immoral.

5-10 years ago i would have kept it though.
