I will never support the Lil B movement, do not get it twisted. It is my job to ensure my kids do not endorse this type of behavior/faggotry, period. But reality is that is my choice just like it is other's choice to support him. Parents just need to do their job and this type of shit would not happen, end of story. Society from the top down is fucked up and only getting worse. I can control my own....
It's people calling him a faggot and gay that made him popular. You're feeding the troll.

He rocked the skinny jeans for the skater style and people started calling him a faggot, so he flipped that on them and starting calling himself one and is now laughing all the way to the bank. He can make the weakest shit and get money.

Oh, c'mon Bro Seriously?

You should lead by example and stay off the Siccness where these dudes push their videos of them flashing guns. Where mobb music lives & glorifies violence and drug peddling, right?

You sound like the people blaming rap music for their problems & support the ban of rap albums, but it's still okay to sell porno DVD's & magazines in the liquor store that's right around the corner from a residential area :dead:
Oh, so you must let your kid wear skinny jeans, huh? In the end though, that is your choice.

I do lead by example in reality. I am teaching my son to do him and not let these other fruit loops and followers dictate what he is doing or going to do, what he likes or doesn't like. I really was out there doing what these rappers talk about and show in their videos and what? I don't need some fake ass rap video to tell me what goes on in the streets.lol. There are real cats in the rap game, I know. But most just are not and it is a big show. I rarely listen to rap nowadays because why fake the funk, you know? All it does it make me think about doing some things I rather not in 2011. I keep it real with me off top and not letting my son follow some fruity trend is my choice. I plan on raising a man, not a little confused attention starved fame seeking whore like this thread is about. Get your Lil B on if you want to....

I am not knocking his hustle at all. But that shit is not for everyone. Only other fruit loops will really get behind his music. The cold part is there are more fruit loops that anything in 2011.

LOL!!!! @ blowing it out of content and no, trust me I would not let my son wear skinny jeans & no, I'm not a Lil B fan LOL!!!! I'm simply stating that we don't have to like it to respect it, but it's become a big street issue like it was 2004 and street cred was of actual value now a days. Plus Ghetto Graduate cheer leading along the way LOL!

Seriously, I feel you Breh, seriously I do. By that same token I also understand entertainment, but to each his / her own on their personal perspective. Although, it's entertainment so it is nothing to take to heart as a lot of these people in here do, but again...

With that being said I sat and watched, "Boyz N The Hood" with my 8 year old son last year. As a father I guided him through the film and he, on his own picked up on the positive side which impressed me.

The following month he again made student of the month & is at the top of his class, your guessing right I'm proud. Very proud.

Now, I see how people come in here and get bent trying to bury the truth, but love it or hate it. Agree with it or not, it's happening.

The use of the word "faggotry" which is not even a word to begin with... makes those look ignorant. I honestly feel if your going to fight for something you believe in, you at least know how to speak proper rather than to say something ignorant and be treated as such.

Those type of attack modes (be intelligent) go back to our civil rights leaders, but in today's world they want to solve it with ignorant words and quickly resort to violence.

Bringing it all full circle if the day came where I came across Lil B and my son was with me...

I wouldn't disrespect Lil B and I would introduce my son to him just like I would to Killa Tay, AP9 or C-Bo as the men they are. Somebody in the world has something negative to say about any of them, but that's not for me to judge. And that's what I teach my son.

Aye real talk, gonna teach my son the same shit, he's only 2 but... same shit.. don't judge anyone for anything they do, and don't judge those who are judging... it's all just happening.. do you, live your life, live and let live and live life with compassion.. but compassion married with sharp awareness and a brutal retaliation for anyone who tries to exploit your kindness as a weakness.

Good, we agree there.

I can respect the fact that he is thinking outside the box and doing what most won't. But that does not mean I would do that or support it. I don't respect attention seeking people that will sell their soul for a dollar. You may, but I don't.

Never that (as in taking it to heart). I am simply saying a dude calling himself a faggot or anything else just for attention is not the type of dude I would support or fuck with, bottomline. Entertainment, friendship, business, ANYTHING.

I watch shit like Ringo, Diary of a Wimpy kid, etc. with my son. I rather him enjoy kid shit for as long as possible. No need to worry about Boyz in the Hood at 8. I mean really.

Now, I see how people come in here and get bent trying to bury the truth, but love it or hate it. Agree with it or not, it's happening.
What's happening? Some wierd little fad that will die out and dudes will feel stupid when they grow up. Yeah, that is happening for sure.

LOL at taking it so literal. C'mon bro, ain't you calling the kettle black like a motherfucker here???? I beleive in the truth, period.

Those type of attack modes (be intelligent) go back to our civil rights leaders, but in today's world they want to solve it with ignorant words and quickly resort to violence.
Violence gets people's attention and makes them think twice about being disrespectful. No real man, civil rights leader, etc. supports faggotry.lol

I wouldn't either. I would just keep it moving.

Trust me, I have been judged my whole life and still to this day have an issue with it. But that is the way of the walk in our society. All bullshit aside, my son reflects me as the parent I am, just like your son does you. I know better, hence, I have to do better and I am. Giving him vision to steer clear away from trends and other fake shit is my job/choice, and I take it seriously. If someone wants to let their kid wear skinny jeans, call himself a pretty bitch, that is on them. I don't condone that shit.

LOL!!!! It's clear we're going in circles & agree & disagree, but truth of the mater is...

Lil B is in fact getting more recognition than any other Bay Area rapper in years.

We can go forever and never agree. I still stand by what I posted etc... so we'll leave it at that, but let me ask one question.

According to your nic name on here, what radio station are you representing? (Serious question.)

My name started as a joke, nothing more nothing less. I just kept it.

I represent all the real motherfuckers trying to get away from the game on their own accord, that is what I represent. Money is the motive but not at the expense of selling my soul. What Lil B is doing may be acceptable to these fruity kids, but not to a grown man.... And if it is, that grown man needs to look himself in the mirror.

it's kinda funny that all lil b did is bring in themes and imagery that's been in rock music, the art world and the fashion world for years into rap music and hella people acting like it's a sign the world is going to end. as an artist you get in the booth you can say whatever the fuck you want and whatever you feel. it's obvious he's just doing it to illicit a reaction, a positive one from people who like art and pop culture (where money & interest is in 2011) and negative from people who like gangster rap (no money or interest in 2011).

to a casual and objective listener, tay saying, "from the hood up to no good off a sherm stick" in 1998 is equivalent to lil b saying "violate that bitch fuck her in the mouth" in 2011. not because in 1998 everyone was tryna drive out to fresno and smoke pcp, or in 2011 everyone wants to wear high-heels, rape bitches and listen to lil b.

it's because it's ridiculous and interesting someone said that shit. and if the beat blap and you wanna listen to either of those records what the fuck is the big deal?
