LOL! Real? HAHAHAHA!!!! More like stuck in the 90'S mentality. When all music had to be real, but even in 2011 can't figure out that only a handful were in fact real. The rest were faker than a wrestling match, but we still got through it.
Nah, I am not stuck in the 90's mentality, that was over like 5 years ago. I understand the man makes the music, the music don't make the man. I am all for making radio friendly music because at the end of the day that will be the most lucrative. Watering down some music is not the same as being fruit loop. I get what you are saying, I just don't agree it is ok for entertainment, money, etc. Diiferent strokes for different folks. I am not ingnorrant to business, but this kind of ignorrance has no business in the game, PERIOD. Where is his dad would be my question.

From what I can tell the net is his biggest outlet so far (well, now the MTV stuff but that's really recent) so by just making threads even if they are negative you are helping his cause and fueling his "buzz" with how he ment it to be promoted (youtube videos, threads, blogs, etc).
3 days and 7 pages later this thread is still going and hasn't left the first page of BART. When this thread dies down witnin a month there will be another talking about the same stuff as this one and the other dozen or so threads about Lil B in the past 6 months.

I just find it funny that people who dislike something invest so much time into thinking and talking about it. Plus that's what he wants people to do so by even talking negative about him he is winning.

I still have yet to hear one song by Lil B I like but that's crazy about him and Just Blaze. I'll check that out for sure just because I'm a big fan of his production.

How am I tryna block his shine? I responded to a post. If yall stop posting stupid shit I will stop responding. You telling me about the next niggas bank account makes you a groupie. U aint eating off the fag so why do u give a fuck what he makes? All you should be trying to defend is the niggas music. Because at the end of the day your only a customer. For u to sit and defend a niggas lifestyle and his bank account is a bad reflection on you. The term hater means nothing nowdays because whoever dont like sucka shit is considered 1. And that there is my last post in this thread.

Downtown, Pittsburg. Southeast Dago.
my thing is, and i aint tryna tell no one what to do, you cant be runnin around talkin about any grown man wouldnt support this or that or no grown man would respect that and and grown man is this or that if he likes lil b.

you cant be sayin that shit. like where you get off talkin about another adult who has lived life just as long as you? dont you think that person has lived long enough to have their own standpoint and opinion on things? it isnt like you make it to adult hood and every adult male on earth has the SAME thought process.

cuz a grown man would respect any young black male gettin money and not being a statistic. once again, any nigga that at the end of the day can give his mom a few dozen stacks from doin somethin positive, has my respect.

a grown man aint gon give a fuck what no other grown man is gonna do. we have our own lives and shit to worry about. I can look in the mirror and trust me i dont feel no different about myself nor do i feel less of a man because of what lil b does.

if i hated (im not a hater...im a grown up...i dont have hate in my bones..) lil b, i wouldnt even comment. id just ignore this entire thread every time i seen it. i wouldnt even have came in to give my opininon.

now once again im not saying YOU are less of a man for doing so because that would make me a hypocrite. i just dont think people should be calling people less of a man based on their thoughts, opinions, or feelings, or lack therof, in this situation.

to be honest, any grown man who was really grown, would respect the fact he just fucking played the game and got rich off of it. i respect that as much as i respect k-fed for playing britney spears and leaving with that prenup...grown men dont be overanalyzin niggas words and taking it to heart. once again no offense but thats more feminine than anything.

to me, if lil b was really gay (AND I DO NOT CARE ABOUT HIS SEXUAL PREFERENCE. THATS SUSPECT.) he woulda been put on blast by a faggot a LOOOONNNNNG time ago. had that nigga even as far as winked at a man he woulda been ethered on youtube early as fuck. yet, a year and a half later after he called himself whatever, theres still just tons of hoes on his dick all over the internet.

i mean ive yet to see the proof of that...all i see is a bunch of hoes with crushes on lil b. tell you what tho, if the nigga ever gets on state with his booty hangin out his pants like prince (and prince supposedly aint gay), ill throw the gay card at him. until then...50 on his dick....and if you think that needs a no homo your head is in the wrong place

i want to make it clear one more time i am not attempting to be disrespectful to radiostationrep for posting this. i am merely giving my standpoint on the situation, so please dont take this shit offensively. i just think as adults, we should all respect eachother as adults. even if we like different music or have different outlooks.

now would i allow my son to run around claling himself a faggot and pretty bitch? NO. but luckily, b is not my son. but if i raised my son right and he grew up and became a rapper callin himself pretty bitch and shit, had he got gwapped out, id dap him out and be like you played the game...and im proud of you.....but of course i would hope the nigga aint gay. wouldnt any father?

You got a great point, really though. This whole thing, music preference in general, is a matter of opinion. As a father I don't support the whole Lil B thing. I wouldn't want my son calling himself a pretty bitch, no analysis there. You see it as positive, I see it as some queer shit. If people like the shit I think is queer, so be it.

I said way before I can respect the fact he is getting his money and getting more shine than other more than capable artists in the Bay Area. Everyone has their own boundries when it comes to what one will do to be famous or noticed. This sites convo is not making or breaking any artist's career, lets be real. If Lil B is the next big thing, good for him. A nigga can be successful selling his asshole, that doesn't mean I have to respect it. Impressionable kids are the ones that like Lil B for the most part. I can see another man that has a financial interest in him supporting him. But beyond that, who? Maybe I am just an old fart. Get your money Lil B, you just won't be getting mine.

Edit* LiL b can do what he wants, none of that affects me. My opinion is just that and I stand by it. Everyone has theirs. Nothing I said was meant as disrespect towards anyone at anytime. I simply don't support the whole skinny jean, pretty bitch movement. I didn't take your comments offensive.

Lil B Signs Tour Deal with Live Nation, Holds Major Label Hopes

By Ian S. Port, Tue., Mar. 29 2011 @ 11:26AM
Hope you're not sick of hearing about Lil B yet, but if you are, you might want to just fast-forward through 2k11. It's shaping up to be a pretty Based year, what with the Berkeley's rapper's MTV appearance, XXL Freshman class cover, SXSW appearances (juiced up by Diddy and Odd Future), and even a new single that sounds basically like, well, a good rap song.

And now this: Long an irregular presence on the live stage -- over the last year, the Internet star played two sold-out shows to ministers of the blogosphere in New York, but no headlining hometown sets -- Lil B recently inked a deal with tour giant Live Nation for a string of shows around the East Coast and the Midwest. He also lined up a headlining show at Mezzanine here in San Francisco, set for April 21.

"It's for sure the first [Bay Area] show of this new era of people being aware of Lil B," his manager, Sebastian Demian, tells SF Weekly. It might also be a sign of what's in the future for Brandon McCartney, a 21-year-old member of East Bay rap collective the Pack. The Live Nation deal is only four shows and two festival appearances, but Demian says he's hoping to expand that to a larger tour. And the fact that Live Nation made a deal with Lil B -- an independent artist who isn't signed to any label -- is surprising on its own. Demian says the people he worked with Live Nation couldn't remember making such an agreement before.

McCartney's unsigned status could also change soon. Though the rapper cherishes his independence -- and has risen to notoriety solely by crafting a ubiquitous presence online -- Demian says he's heard from multiple major labels interested in signing Lil B. We're in talks with some labels," Demian says. "We're very much excited about bossing up."

The next step, though, is taking Lil B's live shows -- which have received mixed-to-negative reviews -- to a bigger audience. Many of his fans are young, and finding an all-ages venue for the rapper (who is barely of drinking age himself) has been a challenge. But Lil B is approaching live shows the same way he approached social networking sites: the more, and the more frequently, the better: "We hope to take it all over the country and spread the message of based thinking," Demian says. "[He made] over 100 Myspace pages. Over 100 videos on YouTube last year. Now we'll do over 100 shows."

Even without touring, Li B has penetrated curiously far into the national culture -- and not just in the world of hip-hop. A UC Berkeley professor used B's video "Age of Information" in a class. Demian says the web-savvy rapper recently did an interview for Wired magazine. And he's even got a documentary -- called,. of course, Basedworld -- coming out this summer. So, Lil B skeptics and haters, better cover your ears (and eyes!) now.
