lol real shit. as a fan you should be happy dre's music is gettin more expolsure not mad, that's some dumb stupid ass shit. homeboy that made this thread talkin bout he started listenin to dre like 2-3 years ago, that aint shit cause dre had hella years in the game. nigga you started listenin around the time thizzle washington came out and think you can say who should and shouldnt be listenin to his music.. just appreciate the fact his music is gettin more expolsure cause it wasnt only made for a select few.. get it right
People just feel like they lost their identity when other folks hop on the bandwagon. They define themself as bein "that dude who's into real underground shit" then when that shit aint underground no more they feel like they got the rug pulled from under em. Mad cause they gotta find a different way to be different, haha. But the funny shit is they spend all this time tryna convince niggas that the shit they listen to is that slap, then when they catch on they get mad at em. Strange individuals.
i didn't read all the posts, i'm just throwin my 2 cents in there...i'm young and i haven't been up on Dre for long...i first got a taste of Dre when "Mac Dre's The Name" dropped...me and my boywere the only ones really listenin to Dre and like chuck taylor, when we'd try to put somebody up on it they wasn't tryin to hear it...but 2 years after Thizzelle Washington and "Thizzelle Dance" dropped everybody hopped on his nuts like he was new...and i also can't listen to any of his (new) shit anymore, cuz its played out within about 2 weeks from all the "newcoming" playin it...i can only listen to the "It's Not What You Say, It's How You Say It" days and earlier...and like mrskrilla said, the same thing happened wit Pac & Biggie...but fuck it...i'll stick wit the old Mac Dre shit, that'll never get played out...
I'm just sick of kats that all of a sudden listen to mac dre and act like they were mac dre fans from day one.. u know who them kats are.. they are the ones who post shit on here askin for a listing of all of mac dre appearances, the same kats who only talk about his curent 200X releases, the ones looking for his earlier releases (which in fact were not hard to find 2-5 years ago), those fools who don't even like his earlier masterpieces.. u know who u people are.. quit frontin! WHAT I CAN'T STAND IS OUT HERE IN DAGO ALL THE LIL HIGH SKOOL TEENY BOPPERS KNOW IS THE GET STUPID REMIX AND THAT'S ALL THEY BUMP. I PLAYED THE ORIGINAL AND THEY THOUGHT THAT WAS THE REMIX. I PLAYED GENIE OF THE LAMP FOR THIS BEEZY AND SHE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THAT WAS OR NEVER KNOWN THAT DRE HAD THAT MANY ALBUMS OUT.
yeah its pretty crazy that the mac dre trend is spreading down here. and its get stupid remix, and thizzle dance. most ppl dont know beyond this. i know a girl who was begging me to put on thizzle dance and when me and my friend started making a thizz face and mentioned something about resting in peace, she wondered why we were making weird faces and then was like "hes dead!?" i know she got onto mac dre, or thizzle dance at least, from hearing it a club in tj. that and get stupid remix. but i dont know where all these other kids are getting on to dre from. do they play these songs on the radio (i dont listen to 933 or z90 so i dont know)?

If you are really into something you should try to know the history, right? If you just listen to Rakim's 18's Letter LP you don't know anything about his works until you heard the classic albums Paid In Full and Follow The Leader.
On the other hand I think Mac Dre was on the rise even before he died. With Al Boo Boo, Genie... and Ronald Dregan he was already gaining popularity and had a little air play too.

Niggas is funny. Now all of sudden everybody in Daygo is ghostin whips or whatever..come on now... Next your gonna tell me everybody in the Bay is on E and Daygo niggas only own lowriders....I can remember a time when Niggas wasnt even fuckin wit E, shrooms and all that shit 10 -12 years ago...at leats here in Daygo...alll that shit spread wit the Rave scene which was also crackin in the bay... I been heard of Mac Dre for a while now. I wasnt really bumpin his shit to much...But with everybody on "X"...thizzle dance seems like an appropriate song to throw in the rotation...like I got 5 on it......It seems like you Diehard fans want the music to stay underground....You want the Bay to stay underground...Shit I live in Daygo....And Im gonna bump whatever...And when I DJ Im gonna throw on Mac Dre...cuz his music was meant to play....So in death he is known and gettin more and more known everyday......But Like with Biggie & Tupac, real motherfuckers understand the struggle of these men and that ultimatly in the end their life was cut short, but their voice lives on....
