Yall niggas want recognition for being old time Mac Dre fans or something?
not sayin that you were directin that directly to me, but wit what i was sayin is that there are a lot of people that have been up on Dre's shit for a long time, but there are evn more that are just gettin up on his music...this is not a bad thing, but it is bad when they start to play the shit out to the point where you don't even wanna hear the shit anymore...like i said, i can't even listen to anything that dropped after "Its Not What You Say, Its How You Say Its"...but then again, i'm the type of person who can't listen to anything that is bing played and recited constantly by everybody between the age of 7 and 16 (i'm on 18, but still)...i'm glad that Dre's music caught on, but i wish they would give it a break and stop playin the shit out like they are...like a few people said already, there's people out there that don't know how long Dre's been in the game...he has dropped over 15 albums, and to the general public he's only dropped like 3...but whatever...just had to add my 2 cents again...

All you fools are trippin, MAC DRE REGARDLESS IS ONE OF THE DOPEST Rappers and not only that one the realist niggas out there. People just dont hop on his dick because hes dead its because thay got major love for him. Ive been listenin to this bay shit my whole life too and Mac Dre had his ups and down but had real niggas on his team and Im sure these cats that are reppin him is because in some way mac dre Affected there life. I went to One mac Dre Show in Gilroy and I only seen hime once and there was not many people there but dre would put on that show for you and pump you up and on top of that he wasnt a punk he had love for his fans! All you cats are just hatin that dre never got to see his real shine or in some way you want to fuck wit thizz, anyways this post made me sick so I thaught I would put a peice of mind to this domb ass shit. I hope these cats understand that the people who were close to Mac Dre keep his name going without the critasism they get cause I feel mac dre would have wanted to be remember for being a pioneer in this bay collalition.

P.S FUCK ALL YOU HATIN ASS FOOLS WITH NO REAL SENSE TO WHAT THESE CATS ARE TRYING TO DO!!!

REST IN PARADISE
MY NIGGA MAC DRE

I been a fan of Mac Dre since I first heard California Livin when I was livin in Vallejo. I stayed a fan of him until his death, granted i like his authentic shit better, I still like his new shit also.

What I cant understand is how you cats is mad that Dre is gettin more and more recognition now that he's dead. Sure it would have been coo for him to get this much shine when he was alive but lets not forget that Dre was gettin heavy radio play and was the biggest artist in the bay before passed. So dont act like he all of a sudden started gettin recognized when he died cuz that absolutely not true. Yall should be happy that his music is now circulatin around the country and more and more people know he is. Believe it or not my homies out in ATL and FLA hit me all the time talkin bout "man i'm feelin that Mac Dre shit, he could have blown, he was a foo etc.." And I dont know how many cats and broads out here in LA be askin me to let them see treal tv and and ask what albums they should buy etc...

The fact of the matter is that I would rather have Dre's music live on and his name get blown up (no matter how it go's down) than to have his name and music slowly die out without the recognition he deserved.

Like it or not Dre's name is gettin bigger and bigger and Im lovin it. And whatever I can contribute to everybody one day knowin who he was is exactly what im gon do.

PS I think the reason that some of you cats is mad cuz your homies used to not like dre or used to clown him etc.. and now they like him is bcuz you from a squa ass city wit squa ass potnas! I personally cant remember too many cats that didn't like Mac Dre where I grew up.

With that being said lets not forget who the number 1 consumer of rap music in america is anyway...you guessed it square ass preppy white kids. So quit complainin about the shit, its the reality of all hip hop music.

the thing about style in general is that it can't get too popular or else it gets played out.

but at least he's finally getting some recognition.

Tha Mac (not mac dre) never got any recognition... he just faded away... that's a shame too. I would like to hear the game is thick but it's on tapes and vinyl (probably all out of print). At least mac dre's shit won't go out of print anytime soon. that's all that really matters.

Dre wanted the bay to blow up again, so overall this is a positive thing.

Another thing is that a lot of people just never heard of him before... how can you be a fan if you don't know OF a person? It's like I know there's some music out there that if i heard it, it would be my favorite new shit... but it's impossible to know what that might be.

It's like trying to feed steak to a baby... it's not on their level yet. But it's better than bumping G-unit and all the other mediocre rap going on lately.

The only thing is that if people keep biting Dre's style, it'll get played out. That would be a damn shame... but then again, everybody copies dre a little bit. I saw yukmouth hella acting like dre, saying yaddidameen every other word, rubbing his hands together and whatnot... on Horns and Halos, i noticed equipto uses a lot of the same rhyme structures that dre used...

I could say a rhyme like:

I twist a swisher filled with CHRONIC
mixing london gin with rocks and TONIC
IT'S IRONIC how suckers bite it
Spit this game hit mothafuckas like an ice pick

you know... rhyming the first word of a line with the last word of the previous rhyme. not to say that equipto stole it (or yukmouth for that matter) but dre's style was influential. Dre did that kind of flow all the time... of course, i could just be imagining things.

Even Too Short uses dre lines ("riding siding whipping dipping" on burn rubber by short and ON MY TOEZ by MD on his Young Black Brother album... short was saying california lifestyle on his cocktales album... that was an early dre song as most of you know.)

Squares and rappers alike liked his shit.
Music is something we all understand... some people need some lessons though before they can appreciate though, you know?

I found out about mac dre when he was performing with nickatina in 2002... and then i didn't pay much attention because he was hella drunk at the show, and didn't really rap at all... saw him again at another nickatina show... shit was cool but i didn't know any of his songs (i remember him doing be about your doe, and boss tycoon in concert...didn't know what they were called at the time though)... then I started listening to his albums... old shit and new shit... what can i say... it grows on you, but i could understand how someone might just hear one song and not think much of it. It's only when you hear songs like rapper gone bad or life's a bitch or on my toez that you really appreciate what he can do.

What makes me sick is that you are talkin about get stupid and boss tycoon like they no good because too many people bump it! I am sure MD much less any other rapper says "man this shit gonna be so underground, no one gonna knock this shit". You think all the internet thugs help the soundscan? Maybe. I believe that MD was happy that his shit was "multicultural" to quote him. Look at his shows, lots of squares, but he still rapped for them! I dont judge fans for what they listen to or how they listen to it..Just buy it..period...Who gettin rich off of bein the most underground rapper? I Been knockin his shit since a kid, it wasnt too many bay rappers actually puttin it on tape or record at that time. I feel you though some cats take it too far! Tryin to turn they mommas saturn into a scraper with them spinnin hubcaps and shit, but you cant fault the music at all, i will continue to knock all dre shit..for real!

i'm glad that Dre's music caught on, but i wish they would give it a break and stop playin the shit out like they are

IVE BEEN LISTENING TO MD SINCE '94. YOU WONT CATCH ME GIVING MAC DRE'S MUSIC A BREAK, GRANTED I DO LISTEN TO OTHER SHIT BUT I STAY BUMPIN MD'S SHIT, CLASSIC TO CURRENT. YOU ARE GUARANTEED TO FIND ATLEAST 2-3 OF HIS CD'S IN MY CAR AT ALL TIMES. HIS OLD STYLE WAS TIGHT AS FUCK BUT AFTER HE SWITCHED IT UP, I WOULD ALWAYS BE EAGER TO HEAR THE SHIT THAT WOULD COME OUTTA HIS MOUTH. LIKE HE SAID "BOY IM SOMETHIN' ELSE." HE WAS JUST THAT SOMETHIN' ELSE.
