I'm hoping that JJ Hardy is available now that the Twins picked up Nishioka. If not, we just need a stop-gap type SS until Brandon Crawford gets enough AAA at-bat's (possibly by June-July).
Ive thought the same, i wanted us to get him when he was a brewer

Dudgers always tryin to get Giants players, lmao

kinda like the Raiders with former niners........

yea it sucks uribe is gone and its not gonna be easy booing him after all the shit he did in the Giants uni but fuck it a rivalry is a rivalry and this isnt the first time its happened. Jeff Kent, Jason Schmidt and now Uribe, of course no one was really mad when Kent was gone even though he was mpv cause we had Bonds. I'm willing to bet the dodgers were the only team to offer that long term of a deal, but not to outbid all other teams but the Giants specifically, did yall know the dodgers were the ones who offered Huff a 2 year 22 million contract, but Sabean didnt stand by and wait, instead he matched the offer right away and signed Huff asap. Since it didnt work out with Huff then they went after Uribe and offered a deal that the dodgers knew the Giants couldnt match, all because they want to separate the Giants cause they know with our pitching we got a chance at repeating. Thats why they went out and got Garland from the Padres, the dodgers are getting their sit together but their pitching is nowhere near ours is. Fuck the faggot dodgers and peace out Uribe but they overpaid him 17 million just so he wouldnt come back with us. But look out were gonna have Ross, and Posey for a full year next season and in my opinion that's enough to replace Uribe's offense. As far as that empty short stop slot i could care less if he doesnt have power as long as he can hit for contact, has speed and defense. As for Pablo, i dont expect his fat ass to lose no more than 10-15 pounds this off season, i just hope he gets his shit together.

all the giants need to do is look inside. the 25 homeruns are really unheard of for a ss. the thing we are going to need with this pitching staff is a stout defense. good feet great glove and a solid accurate arm and booooribe is replaced. we have that in burriss before he got hurt he was having white hot flashes and his speed was top notch having him and torres in the lineup could be awesome

Looks like the Giants are getting closer to trading for Jason Bartlett.

Sources: Giants intensify pursuit of Rays' Bartlett

1 hour ago by JonPaulMorosi

Throughout the major leagues, shortstops are coming off the board – Juan Uribe to the Los Angeles Dodgers, Ryan Theriot to the St. Louis Cardinals.

And in recent days, sources say, the San Francisco Giants have become one of the most serious suitors for Tampa Bay shortstop Jason Bartlett.

San Francisco’s interest picked up once Uribe signed with the Dodgers, a source said. Bartlett, 31, is the type of veteran player favored by Giants general manager Brian Sabean. He was born in Mountain View, Calif., and attended high school in St. Mary’s.

The Rays need to rebuild their bullpen, and the Giants have enough depth there to move a reliever. San Francisco right-handers Chris Ray and Ramon Ramirez have experience in the American League East, but it’s not clear if the Rays have interest in them.

The Padres, Orioles and Pirates are also looking for a shortstop.

The Minnesota Twins aren’t negotiating an extension with their shortstop, J.J. Hardy, enhancing the odds that he will be moved. Hardy, 28, has more power potential than Bartlett, 31, but Bartlett is the better small-ball player.

Bartlett has had a better OPS than Hardy over the past two seasons -- .780, compared to .684.

Man I haven't heard a single thing about Burrell. I saw him on the news a couple weeks ago. He was in fisherman's wharf with a Giants jersey on lighting the xmas tree. I really hope he comes back for cheap.

Giants are playing cat and mouse right now, they want to see how much money teams are willing to throw at their free agents and they'll counter it just like they did with Huff or let them go like Uribe.
