The new E-40 is cool, I wouldn't say the greatest. I thought it was hella weak the first spin, but I'm still bumpin' it & starting to like it more.

Fuck everybody's old/new school opinons though..."In A Major Way" is 40 at his best by far.

ya'll r trippin cause i'm 30 and think this shit is a fuckin classic.his raps r tight and the production is og i love the fuckin samples.its got the club shit the radio shit and the hood shit wake up and listen and learn.times change and so does the sound.

You think this shit is a classic? Really? You're tellin me that you'd put this album right next to "Federal" "The Mailman" and "In a Major Way" and "Hall Of Game?"

I went and listened to this shit again twice and I still feel the same. Maybe even worse.

Lyrically: He's come WAY tighter.
Beats: Damn near EVERY song sounds the same. Rick Rock is OVERRATED like a muthafucker. How everyone jocks his sound fuckin amazes me. Can he make a beat with MORE than just a stripped down drum track and one or two sounds every two measures?

Why's everyone keep saying "this is the NEW sound of the Bay..blah, blah, blah...."

So now E-40 and Rick Rock dictate the sound of the Bay?
Since when does one rapper and one producer make THE sound to be?
What happened to creativity? Is everyone in the Bay a God damned robot now, following orders and shit? Everybody's playing fuckin "follow the leader" and shit? Are you all telling me that NO ONE else in the Bay has a different sound?

Ya'll can cal me old all you want, but there's a reason why all those "old" albums will forever be CLASSICS. I doubt people will remember this one.

Sorry 40, but you lost it on this one. Hope you can come back harder on the next one.

but you do understand the ramifications of this album doing well...
that would open a lot of doors for the bay and ultimately the west coast...
I expected more as well, but hey 40 is on a major label now so its a lil different.

I liked a max of 3 songs. But then again, I don't like much new rap or even music that's come out in the last several years..

I think we're getting old..
before you could just go and pick any cd off the shelf and it would be tight as hell...most albums out now are st8 trash.

album was alright. . . A lot of the songs sounded alike. . not that they were wack ass beats, but they sounded alike that's all. This album is worth having, but i don't think it's gonna be in my cd player for a week like most albums i buy are.
