Your stuck in the past my man. I admire you trying to defend these low budget artists, but your not doin it. "Bling Bling" was a major hit in 1998, oh god I'm sorry I was off a year or 2. "Block Iz Hot" was 99. Wayne sold more records before he hit 20 than Raided, Sicx, K Rhino, Tech or all these other incomplete artists will ever sell combined.

As for your rapperss not fading, please check the sales and overall ineterset of these guys over the years...NONE of them will ever have a record out that becomes even a small hit again, and yes I am gonna say something about you flauting listening to a guy who basically talks about and DID SEXUALLY MOLEST CHILDREN.
U wanna talk about record sales? OK

Techs album Absolute Power went gold with limited radio & video play. Lynch's Season album also went gold with absolutly NO radio or video play. No proper promotion & a ton of controversy behind the lyrical content. Not to mention a shitty review in The Source. Wayne is a mainstream artist who gets major radio & video play & is on the cover of every mag but still struggles 2 go gold half the time. Tech N9ne's Anghellic was/is light years ahead of anything Wayne has ever breathed on.

You talk about how Wayne has sold more records then guys like Lynch, X & Tech combined but fail 2 mention that these are underground artist. Wayne is pushed into a fuckin oblivion so he has a stronger precence then most artist esp an underground cat. Yeah Bling Bling was a hit but that song was on BG's album. Stop giving Wayne all the fuckin credit.

There was a time when Wayne was underground too & he was virtually unheard of. The underground cats I named have a world wide following. That's right world wide. Fans in England, Europe & beyond.

If sales mean so much like u say they do then I guess rappers like Hammer, Nelly, Vanilla Ice, JJ Fad & Heavy D are umongst the greats right?

Just that he started freestyling/memorizing his verses instead of writing them out.

Who writes for him then? I know Gillie caught some feelings and lied about it, but he was gone before Carter 2 was made, and Wayne was still shittin.

As for Tech, I'm sure he appeals to people outside of the eastcoast, but he is a joke here.

Struggles to go gold? Why make up shit? Carter 1=platinum Carter 2=platinum
Block Is Hot=platinum Light Off=platinum Hot Boys=2X platinum. He has trouble?

Oh yeah, show me any kind of proof besides a Tech interview where that album is certified gold. Fuck outta here with that bullshit. His new cd issn't even at 100K even with the positive reviews. Anghellic was good lyrically, but only appeals to a certain kind of fan.

As far as Bling Bling, Wayne MADE that song. That's why Turk was taken of and Wayne put on for the video version. HE made it a hit. I'm well aware he was underground at one point, and he rose above it, something the rappers you ride for want to, but never were able to do.

And you listing those platinum artists to prove that sales don't mean shit, these guys are gimmick rappers! And Nelly and Heavy are great acts. Just because there music isn't "gangsta" or "wierd" enough for you doesn't mean they suck. Wayne's fanbase aren't the same people who buy those albums and if youd actually shut the fuck up and LISTEN to Carter 2, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

^^^yee word...this fool proly thinkin canibus got ripped by ll coz ll was still sellin more records after the beef hahahaha
He DID. LL ENDED Canibus career with his response to "2nd rd. Knock Out". Canibus was a wack artist with good lyrics, no flow or perosnality whatsoever.

"Ask Canibus he ain't understandin this/cuz 99% of his fans don't exsist!"

Until you give a list that I can agree with, that post holds no weight homie.
Not a diss, just bring some facts too.

Carter 2!!! Carter 2!!!! Man, fuck The Carter 2. Like I said, I'd put 24 Deep up against the Carter 2 & 24 Deep was only an ep.

Make up shit? Absolute Power did go gold lil homie. Everyready been passed 100k's. Your the one making up shit...... bullshit. But anyways fuck record sales. Let's say the Wayne is the best rapper alive 4 instance(which he aint)......... Just look @ hip hop right now!! It aint like its1989, 1993 or something. Only the best came out on top durin those times & Wayne wouldn't have as big of chance in the mainstream bac then as he does now. You talk about Gangsta Rap iz dead but Wayne falls into that catagory his damn self. If not then a Gangsta Rap subcatagory. Dr. Dre said gangsta rap was dead when he left Death Row & not even a couple of years later he dropped Chronic 2001. The Bling Bling song came out when CMR were @ the hieght of there popularity so that song would of blew anyways.
