I am not a boy "or a son" as you describe me as, and I am in college.
Me labeling you as a boy or child was because you spoke as a child and refused to even ponder what people have typed. If you speak how you want others to speak to you you'll see that you may eventually grow or find some common ground.
I have read over everything in this thread
Yet you actually did something I said you would do (take the defensive route) and have made the claim that certain people here have made the claim that whites are the cause of everything. If you read everything, how could you miss several instances of people saying that wasn't the case?
I just don't understand how anything will ever change in the future if everyone is always playing the blame game for shit in the past.
So because something happened in the past that removes the
moral obligation to right the wrong? What you and many others here have failed to realize is that the past actually shaped the future (our present), and we don't even have to go back to the start of the trans atlantic slave trade. How is anyone playing the blame game when people such as yourself want blacks to take responsibility for their actions, yet deny the cause and effect relationship between slavery and the present day?
I know whites have done the world wrong
What have whites done wrong to blacks and latinos? Has this wrong doing been rectified?
but I just think that is up to the individuals in any community whether its white trash using crystal-meth, or black on black crime, to change it for themselves.
How can you change it yourself if you are born into a closed system of stratification and loose out because of your ascribed status? yes, in many cases it is up to the individual to make a change for themselves, but if the people do not have
THE MEANS TO CHANGE OR MAKE IT BETTER FOR THEMSELVES what do you do?
Take responsibility for your own shit.
see above.
For example I live in Nevdaa, originally from the bay and in Nevada they offer free college education to either UNR or UNLV if you graduated high school in the state. The reality is though that a large percentage of the teens in this state (white black latino) dont take advantage of this opportunity.
How do you know they don't take advantage of it? Do you have any data or sources that can validate your claim or should we simply believe you just for the hell of it? Again, if someone is not taking advantage of a resource you have to understand WHY the person is not taking advantage of the resource.
I mean they give you FREE college and these dumb fucks dont do shit with it.
Have you considered the fact that some might not be ready for college, might not know college is FREE, or that college may not be the route for them?
They get girls pregnant, or if they are girls they get pregnant themselves, get adicted to meth (Nevada has the highest meth rate), or just drop out of school and work at Mcdonalds or Quiznos for their whole lives.
Again, why are these people doing these things? Is it because they simply don't care, or is it because they have a lack of social conservatism in their lives? Is it because they don't care or because their eyes and minds have been warped and destroyed by the idiot box and radio stations? How many people do you know say, "When I grow up, I want to drop out of highschool and work at Quiznos"?
Like I said in a previous thread Martin Luther King gave people hope, and earned African Americans a right to vote, and then what do most (not all) of them do with it? They don't vote.
First of all, King wasn't the only person who was major civil rights advocate. Second of all, voting (as it relates to presidential elections) is not determined by people such as yourself filling in bubbles on pieces of cardboard. It is determined by the ELITE and people of PRESTIGE. It is determined by big business and the big dollar. If I have a moral duty to vote (something you are implying) shouldn't I also have the moral duty to not partake in something that I firmly believe is a hoax and sham?
I mean there are opportunities out there for people who are poor but they for whatever reasons dont choose to take advantage of them (Whether its lack of education, no parental guidance, drug addiction, whatever).
No. You are once again failing to address the issue. We have given you MANY reasons why blacks do not take advantage of the chances they have, and you are a believer of misinformation when you imply that they choose to not take advantage. Do some choose to not take advantage? Yes. Are others FORCED to not take advantage? Yes. Why is this? We have provided many sociological/cultural reasons and economic reasons for this. We have addressed the REASON, but you simply say "whatever the reason" and CHOOSE to not address anything we have presented.
I am not just talking about blacks so please dont think I am.
So what have you been doing for past posts? Besides cheerleading and cussing like a drunken sailor or lunatic?
For some it will take more perseverance than others, but it is possible.
No. For some it IS impossible.
If all you do is sit back and think/talk about the reasosns why you cant all the time then how will the cycle ever be broken?
Who says thats all the people do? Are you around all these people to say thats all it is they do?
