You heard about that Asian girl from Standford who committed suicide supposedly because of the extreme pressures that she was under to succeed?
Yeah that sure is real, among kids that come from upper-middle to upper class backgrounds, Asians have by far the highest suicide rates.

I know a lot of white parents in the Bay Area are starting to keep their kids out of Asian academic dominated schools b/c they want what they call "a more traditional high school experience" aka they want their kids to be able to do extra-carriculars, homecoming dances all that shit instead of be little brainiac machines. It's kind of ironic when you think about it, parents taking their kids out of schools b/c they are performing TOO WELL.

OMFG!! Do you ever think to read the articles that you post before you post them?.. You could of saved yourself a lot of embarrassment because first of all, no way does Jon Entine's book support your theory that blacks became physically superior as a result of selective breeding on the plantation; he attributes it to thousands of years of evolution. Secondly, the source you provided was an extremely critical review of the book, you would of noticed that if you would of kept reading half way through..

nhojsmith said:
After all, in the end, for all our differences, we are far, far more similar. That's Taboo's only real message." Ironically, the greatest strength of Entine's book-its single-minded focus and clarity-likewise yields its greatest weakness. Because Taboo takes the form of an argument-a case to be proved, rather than an inquiry-it has a polemical flavor. Instead of sifting through fragmented, conflicting data on the rise of black athletes in sports, Entine seeks to prove his case by presuming his conclusion is true, then supporting it with selected evidence. Such a "proof" would be reasonable, were it not for his claim of reliance on the "scientific method." It is a disingenuous claim. The book does not even attempt to examine a robust data set, evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the information, or come to an evenhanded conclusion. Instead Entine chooses to spare his readers the ambiguities of robust data, which form the core of a scientific inquiry. Ultimately, the verdict is still out as to whether natural talent or hard work and determination account primarily for athletic prowess.

Also, you're right, a critical review of some obscure book by an unqualified scientist isn't up to my scientific standards. There's a reason why he has no peer reviewed articles (For one, he's not an Anthropologist).. Here's another person's opinion on Entine..

"People who support the view that Black people are an "African race" have often been accused of applying their definitions less than objectively in order to support racial stereotypes. In a book review of Taboo: Why Black Athletes Dominate Sports and Why We Are Afraid to Talk About It professor Stephen L Sniderman criticizes author Jon Entine for his lack of consistency:

The most significant flaw in Entine’s argument, though, involves his use of black, a problematic word that he should have handled much more carefully. From the title to the final sentence, that term, unfortunately, means whatever suits Entine’s purpose. He ostensibly defines the term in his introduction: 'Elite athletes who trace most or all of their ancestry to Africa are by and large better than the competition" (emphasis added). But that's certainly not the definition he uses to identify black athletes throughout the book. When he includes superstars with light brown skin (such as Muhammad Ali, Maury Wills, Joe Louis, and O.J. Simpson) in the category he labels black, he offers no evidence that they "trace most or all of their ancestry to Africa.' "

So in other words you've been exposed again for your complete incompetence, lack of understanding, and misguidance..

oh and you want to quote that huh, why not quote this part? ahahahhaa

The most probable answer is that they are inextricably linked. Rather than nature or nurture, the answer most likely lies in an interaction between the two

still busy looking for your article son?
What article? You provided a critical review of a book with a lofty premise.. I posted other reviews also and they've determined that good ole Jon just didn't have the facts to back up his claims, period.. Now you're being selective in what you want to quote, but disregard what I posted, and what you posted yourself. And again, you haven't addressed the fact that your main premise has been totally knocked out the water, no one agrees that any differences between blacks and whites can be explained by selective breeding on the plantation. Your red herrings won't work with me, I see past them easily for they are so obvious. You lose! Now if you want to argue that minor variations from adaptation may (and that's a big "may") explain some of the differences in physical performance, you should of said that. Instead, you made yourself look dumb by choosing the least possible explanation...

Also, I can care less about any one's opinion on the matter (even the reviewers), I need a source of evidence, the one you provided didn't agree with your theory so your case is out the window.. As far as my take on it (that it's mostly cultural), that's still up for debate.. There's no conclusive evidence yet to determine if human variation and success in sports can be "inextricably linked", and that speaks for its self, there never will be if that's the case (look up the word "inextricably").. Yet we can determine with great certainty that not any of this can be linked to slave breeding, case closed..

^^Propz bruh bruh... I'm about to check this out in a minute and I'll come back and comment..

Edit:
Loved it, they captured the anguish and confusion of our young generation perfectly. The history was also accurate as far as what I know, and a lot of things I didn't know. I liked the point about how the best and only way to change is on a case by case basis, people have to put the personal issues aside and realize what's happening to them. Yo homie got killed and the first reaction is for you to kill him and it never stops. But why did they kill your homeboy is what they need to ask. Not because he was from a rival gang but the true issue that leads back to slavery and they pretty much captured that in this doc. Loved it..

still nothing? no magical sources? thats what i thought bitch.
You lost already bro, I'm done with you. I need no source, my prime objective was to debunk your claims about plantation breeding and I did (you even did your self), so you lost.

To anyone who is perhaps waiting on a response from me, I apologize. I would like to put as much time into this thread as possible when/if I post and at current, this is not possible.
