Whats interesting is I've yet to see a non black person (in this thread) post up a link or credible stats to validate their claims. However, I find it disturbing that once again, people on this board overlook things such as, "...education and inequality, residential segregation and discrimination, race and it's correlation to poverty, and so on."

I agree, but you have the different parties in our races that fuck up what should be our collective goal. Do we fight as minorities fucked over by European lust and greed, do I fight as a Pan-Africanist or just as an African American? DO you fight for all latinos, Mexican nationals, mestizos, indios, or Chicanos? There are so many interest groups. And Latinos and blacks have alot of things in common in that we are "bastard" peoples. We were taken from our homeland and put here, they took your homeland from underneath you. It's sick.

This all in Africa with out even mentioning slavery abroad in relation to diasporic African peoples from France to the Caribbean, but who's counting? Who counts the 30+ million slaves who still lie at the bottom of the Atlantic ocean, people who died during the transportation before even reaching the new world. All of that before we can even mention the actual American trade.. But you're just like me, we have the same exact history, I understand. African Americans have a definitive connection just like you do, a language they can call their own, a culture, a country, and a home.....

A lot of Mexicans identify with their Spanish heritage, a lot more so with their Native ancestry. Either way the accessibility to both is great. Black people have no idea whatsoever as to where they come from and what their culture was like, no clue.. I'm really not trying to get into a comparison game but it's apparent to me that everyone some how finds a way to down grade "the struggle".. No one denies what has happened to Natives/Hispanics, I just truly feel that it's a different situation.
