Giants placed 2B Freddy Sanchez on the 15-day disabled list with a strained shoulder.
This was expected, and Sanchez is still three weeks from starting a rehab assigment, so he won't be back quickly. Juan Uribe should fill in for most of April.

Giants placed 2B Emmanuel Burriss on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to March 26, with a broken left foot.
Burriss had a screw inserted into his foot midway through spring training, so he's not very close to healthy. Even when he is healthy, he'll probably go down to Triple-A Fresno to work on his on-base skills a little more. His .238/.292/.267 season last year did not guarantee him a spot on this year's roster and he needs to earn his way back once he shows he's healthy.

Giants placed OF Fred Lewis on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to March 27, with a strained left intercostal muscle.
Lewis had a poor spring and his spot on the roster is hanging in the balance. When he is eligible to return on April 11th, the Giants will have a roster crunch and a decision to make. Lewis is out of options and the team has been rumored to be shopping him. At least they have another week to figure out what to do.

and Bowker did hit 6 hrs this spring...and while both had a decent springl, and Schierholtz is the better defensive outfielder, i think the Giants want the pop Bowker may provide

was listening to KNBR the other day, they said Vegas sportsbook had Dodgers winning 86 games, and the giants 83. They also had the Phillies winning the most in the NL, with 92, and the Braves coming in second with 87.
