Niggas need to sound like theirselves, whatever influence you. I'm from VA originally, but I grew up on everything from Kool G Rap to the Alkaholiks to Souls of mischief. You know good music if you makin it, and if you imitatin another niggas sound or style, you got no originality. Especially when you talkin bout the Mac, he was the only nigga like himself, but don't act like there won't 400 Tupac imposters too. You gotta weed out the fake niggas to get to the real shit. Unless you was around Dre gettin taught the game by him, you shouldn't sound nothing like him.

Honestly, why is mufuckas trippin on what others do? But when someone uses some terminolgy that the bay uses,or raps over some bay type of music and beats then fans of the bay backlash at them.If any city is to blow,its a good sign if others are folowing suit,thats keepin that style alive and making it bigger,and better,wich means bigger possibilities.
But we got young kids on these boards who dont really know too much history of rap...arguing over who started saying what first,especially when some sayings are as old as goin back to the seventies,some were born in the 90s arguing with those who been listening since the beginning,,,,but thats a whole other topic.....whats funny is e-40 and his fans are upset that everyone is biting the language...I have to admit..its sounding really sad ....what about all the other words that aint slang in his verses.....imagine if someone was like.....man e-40 biting the english dictionary...I give credit to 40 he is creative,and comes up with some original sayings,but there are things he says or the bay says that was said years ago..before alot of these kids was born.....many of these kids aint been out of there own state let alone city.But arguing over who started what is pointless,in the end..not many care,and what you want if ya win,a pat on the back? aint no money involved.....Just like people arguing who started wearing dickies first.. think about it.worst part is most people getting there info second hand,and it gets watered down each and every time,if you gonna argue a point list some dates,pictures..articles of literature..
