Lynch releases statement regarding senseless killings; CONCERT FUND-RAISER PLANNED

A fund raising concert is a good idea, no amount of money is gonna make his fam's pain go away....but your hearts is in the right place.

We are fully aware that a concert, no matter how big of a turnout it would bring, would not erase any of the family and friend`s pain for what has happened. This movement is not just about healing pain, it`s about trying to stop other`s pain from ever taking place. It`s about showing our communities that enough is enough, and even as underground artists with some of the most volatile lyrics, we DO NOT stand behind these senseless killings.

It has to stop somewhere, and has to start from someone. So that is why we have been reaching out to ALL Sacramento artists to come aboard to send a message. We want the communities to know we stand behind them, and let our politicians, media, and law enforcement agencies know that we CAN come together for the greater good. That we are NOT just negative influences to our streets that they seem to believe and highlight.

As previously posted, more information and details will be posted as they come together. Start spreading the word. The "BE THE FACE OF CHANGE" event is coming. We pray all of you will be with us. Thank you.

You are SO right! Sometimes, that line is indeed crossed, but I always wonder, what are the regrets?

Why do we have to wait until it affects OUR own home before we realize that the path taken leads to nothing of value?

I hear all the time, and I agree completely, that schools are not teaching anything. The teachers don't seem to teach, the subjects are boring, and very little can be applied to life, so why bother?

How about we get back to apprenticeships and on-the-job training for kids so they have some usable skills after they graduate? Sure, some kids will be lucky enough to go on to college, but lets force our educational system to get real.

Most importantly, we teach our kids from babies up (in most cases) to "get along" yet we never approach the topic as to what to do in a conflict. How can we expect youth to know how to handle conflict if we don't even discuss it? Our middle and high schools need to be teaching "conflict resolution" to supply youth with the skills to deal with conflict; the results of not doing so spoke out loud and clear today when they buried that twenty-one year old kid and his own seven month old baby!

When I bought the Ghetto Celebirties DVD a few years back Lynch spoke on the song & said it was a metephore speaking on Abortion. Now I've been listening 2 Lynch since '92 & he's one of the kings of metephores & manipulating his rhymes & I've listened 2 Return Of The Baby Killa countless times before I seen that interview & afterwards & know his 3 versus & Sicx's verse from that song word for word & have yet 2 hear any kind of metephore on that song. IMO Lynch made the statement explaining the reasons for the song is a scapegoat to get people off of his back. Cuz everybody I know that doesn't like his music seem 2 ONLY remember & know that particular song & bash the hell out of him cuz of it. Now I'm just a fan so I can just imagine what the critics have actually said 2 him & how much heat he's took over the years cuz of it.

A real song about abortions & using metephore discribing it would be the song Real Killa by Tech N9ne.
