I guess NONE of you have ever done anything that later in life you wish you hadn't. You all Saints up in here. Well, I make mistakes every day, and I'll admit it.
Anyone that ever went to jail and thinks they have discovered some knowledge or truths about life, who now have regrets... They just full of shit, huh? Personally, I don`t want to get drug into a long discussion about Lynch`s past or his music. The fact of the matter is this; this tragic event has shook many of us within Sacramento, and all of us have realized that something has to be done to try to stop the madness on our streets. He is a voice of underground rap, the godfather of horror-core, and his participation is greatly appreciated.
As Satingun has tried to explain, as we grow older, our attitudes change. Our value of life changes. Sometimes it doesn`t happen until tragic events like these happen, but we are always growing as a people. Some grow in other directions than others. So regardless of his past, how does it hurt or offend anyone if Lynch realizes the status of our streets and wants to contribute on a positive level? Wouldn`t it mean more coming from someone like Lynch, who is known for his vulgar lyrics, to take a stand and say enough is enough?
And just one more topic on this and my voice is back to the mission at hand.
For most of those on here arguing about his lyrics and his stance now, are probably the same ones who are hoping for the SOTS Lynch to come back. Who have been critical of his recent works because he has been growing as an artist and man, and trying to evolve from just the rip-gut artist he`s known for. I wish more of you who have followed him throughout the years would appreciate the severity of the situation and commend him for taking a stance and having a voice. I have yet to hear anything from any other artist on this topic, outside of those who have lined up to join us with this event.
Regardless of the irony, he still needs to be commended for stepping up. It takes a real man to stand up for something right, while fighting your demons along the way. I don`t know many who would do it. Real talk!

I remember that Loki thread he made about Sicx like a year ago. I even posted a comment in that thread but I stayed nuetral. I understood where Lynch was comin from because I can tell in all of the interviews he's done since Sicx went down its effected deeply & has hurt him. But I didn't agree with Lynch makin it look like Sicx was innocent when he knew he wasn't. Loki kept it one hunid & Tall Can, Beta & Lynch was trippin & they were in the wrong IMO.
Im not arguing the fact that other artists have made a stand against violence, and the artists you named, D.E. and G-Macc are involved with this movement, as are numerous other artists. As this movement keeps growing, more artists are stepping up to the plate to offer their support.
As for Lynch`s lyrics on the Fixxx, which by the way, I had a heavy hand in making with COS and Lynch so I know all too well what is one there. But listen to "My Feelinz" Track #6. Tell me Lynch isn`t showing another side of himself on that track. He has another similar song on the LBI album. That is what I`m talking about when speaking about growth.
And like I said, Lynch is an icon and a pioneer for Sacramento underground music. Regardless of the irony of his past songs, his voice is heard loud by the masses, so by his coming forward to address the situation, it starts to make people pay attention.
It`s also like saying that if Wes Craven stood up to speak out on violence and against killing, that his voice would be diminished because of the films he has created. Music and movies are art and entertainment. It`s sad when people can`t figure out the difference between the two. Unfortunately, it happens all the time.
