The new policy should be enough for Floyd. he constantly spoke about cleaning up the sport so this is a very large step they're taking.

LOL @ fined for cussing. Thats like the porno movies back in the day that would edit out dialog or the money shot. It serves no purpose. If the guy was putting his life on the line in the ring (regardless of who he fought) he shouldn't be sanctioned for cussing.

This is from today:

Manny Pacquiao agrees to full random blood testing

By Tommy Allan

According to Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, his Superstar fighter and Pound For Pound King Manny Pacquiao has agreed to full random Blood testing for a potential fight with long time rival, Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Mr. Arum has been reported as saying - ‘We have agreed in the Pacquiao camp to unlimited random testing done by a responsible, neutral organization, We don’t believe USADA is a neutral organization.

‘I don’t think anybody’s test is as vigorous as the test administered by the Olympic Organization. And we can arrange for the Olympic Organization to handle the test under the supervision of the Athletic commission respective of the state where the fight is going to be held.

‘We’re not going to make this into a cowboy situation. We have an organization that has no authority [USADA] and even does it [blood-testing] without reporting to an organization that is responsible for the conduct of the fight.

‘We are focusing on Pacquiao vs Marquez fight. And if Pacquiao beats Marquez again and then if Mayweather says he’s agreeable to us, then we can have the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight next year.’

Since 2009 both fighter’s camp’s have been at loggerheads over testing and the cut-off dates. First Mayweather asked for 14 days, which was rejected by Team Pacquiao, then a few months later when Team Pacquiao was ready to agree to the 14 day cut, Mayweather moved the goal posts and said he would not fight with a cut-off.

This seem’s like a significant step in right direction and the boxing world may finally get to see the fight it has craved for so long.

That's a step in the right direction.

Hopefully Floyd beats Ortiz and Pacquiao beats Marquez.

I think the fight is going to happen since there are reports of Manny Pacquiao agreeing to the random style drug testing.

But it would be better if we heard it from Manny Pacquiao himself but this is step in the right direction.

Of course he moved the Goals Posts..........Manny was going to kick the winning field goal and take home the trophy. Mayweather knows that.

This shit is starting to sounds like "Will Brett Farve retire?"......

Same shit over and over and over and over again......

well pac already said on camera he's willing to take random tests so I think it's on point. That's why I never believe what Michael Koncz says, he seems to be out of the loop on a lot of matters or just plain stupid at times.

And it looks like Arum is referring to International Olympic Committee and WADA, which makes sense since Pac spends most of his time in the Philippines.

Not much there other than the best line which was "Michael Koncz has no authority" and doesn't negotiate.

Again, I ask myself, WTF does michael koncz do for pacquiao?? Pac needs to get rid of that bonehead. Wish there was a video of when Ariza knocked him out.

So it took Mayweather to step up and make a stand before these dumb asses made a change to there outdated testing policy. Good job Mayweather you made this change happen for the betterment of boxing. Now let's see if Manny's really going to agree to random testing when the contract is in front of him, so this fight will happen. For some reason I have a feeling Khan is going to fight Mayweather before Manny.

The bill was signed by Gov. Brian Sandoval, which will be a policy for all combat sports including MMA, Pro boxing and amateur fighting. As far as I know floyd didn't have anything to do with it.

It would be a damn shame if Khan fights Floyd before Pac, but there has been a lot of talk recently from Golden Boy and Khan as well.

Kind of disrespectful to Victor Ortiz I think that Richard Schaefer is already talking about Khan as Floyd's next opponent, but whatever.

Floyd was the only high profile combat sports fighter that pushed for random testing. To say that Mayweather didn't set the groundwork or got the ball rolling would be just plain wrong. Mayweather setback and let the media and fans call him coward and he never backed down from random testing. So I say Mayweather helped this bill.

I think Freddie would like for Khan to fight Mayweather 1st so he can come up with a gameplan for Manny against Floyd.

^^floyd didn't lobby to any commission or to anybody for that matter to implement any further drug tests, and he wasn't the first person to request them from other fighters. The state of nevada had been talking about stronger drug tests for combat sports for several years now.

I'm not saying floyd wasn't a factor, Just saying as far as I know he didn't lobby to the state athletics department or anything like that.

Both men need to get by their opponents first, and Kahn is not ready for Floyd. In fact, I don't ever see Khan being ready for Floyd.
Khan has two big flaws a weak chin and stamina problems. We'll see how he looks against Judah next week. He just doesn't seem ready for the big boys to me yet.

Freddie had Oscar fight Floyd and someone else if I'm not mistaken so I think he has a pretty good idea already on what he would want pac to do. He's stated a couple times already he has the "perfect gameplan for floyd." Whether or not that's just talk who knows.
