anyway, goin off what mean mugg said, black people have all the reason to say it, lol...Black people took one of the most derogatory slurs in the history of the english language and made it a part of their vernacular. i dont see anything wrong with that.
what i do see wrong, however, is how hispanic people can defend them saying...if ur dominican, haitian, jamaican, etc. etc., thats one thing, but if ur mexican, come on now.
i got my homeboy who hangs with black folks all days never sayin the word before he hung out with them, and now he thinks its ok to. it doesnt work like that, white people used as a racial slur against black people, black people took it and made it part of their vocab, thus desensitizing the word to their ethnicity, and then white people try to take it back and make it cool for whatever reason.
what REALLY bothers me is when u get these Asian cats, especially around the bay area who say the word, but if u or someone else says "Chink" they fly off the handle.
when the whole hot 97 thing went down, part of what they were offended about is that the word "chink" was said...but if an asian cat says "nigga", no one gives a fuck.
Bottomline, "nigga" still means "nigger". What do elder black folks think of young blacks using the word???
That's a terrible analogy btw using asians and "chink" as an example you could of used Mexican and Beaner and still made no difference in your point. Black folks say "nigga" to eachother and to others. Who in the fuck says "chink" to one another thinking it's cool to say it? You don't hear asians saying to eachother "wassup chink". And who says no one cares when asians says "nigga"???? I almost slap the shit outta this asian cat saying it so much in a pick up game. Everytime I hear an asian cat say it, I ALWAYS talk shit. Same thing goes for hispanics, you don't hear them using the "beaner". So of course ANY ethnicity would "fly off the handle" if there was a slur that was said to them, rediculous. For example if you said beaner to a mexican, a nigger to a black, a chink to an asian etc. they all would of course "fly off the handle".

it may not have been the best analogy, but what im saying is that everyone thinks they can say "nigga" because black people desensitized the word...people dont realize its still a slur. my biggest point is, that i dont think black people that use it all the time are doing it to be cool, they truly DID grow up with it, and that they took something that wasnt used like any other slur, and made it nothing.

LMFAO...I can't stand Fat Joe's music and I can care less if he says the "N" word or not, but trust me I am origanlly from The Bronx, got family and friends still there, and go home every year, and Fat Joe is more hood than 90% of the cats on here. Ask anyone in NYC if Fat Joe is real and unless they just plain hate the man they will say yes. Joe has been around WAY before the music. Krs-One and Crack (Joey Crack) were putting up bombs all around NYC years ago. His crew back before he blew more or less ran The Bronx (Terror Squad has been around long before the rappers you see as TS and is a gang in the The Bronx)

But these same Mexicans who use it are the same idiots that have no problem saying "beaner" this and "wetback" that.
