Yeah, you agree with the parts that don't knock Christianity, even though the entire statement does that, along with the rest of organized religion.

You don't become in touch with something by reading a book and having someone tell you about it. Just like you can't be a "nature" person unless you walk through fucking nature, forests and valleys are a good example.

Point being, people aren't spiritual and religious just cause they believe in God, cause most people don't even know what they are doing, they just do it cause their parents did, or because their pastor/priest said they're going to hell if they don't.

@kayvee I wasn't amazingly close to him. I had my times i went hunting and fishing with him and my dad. I grew up with him on the holidays and other get togethers. He was always there, came to important school events, saw my football games n stuff. It really became hard because he meant so much to my dad and hearing the basics of what my dad learned from him, changed me. This was my grandpa from my mom's side so it meant even more being that my dad was so largely effected. I really have no regrets of what happened between me and him up until he died, i just don't like that i didn't get to take him out hunting with just him and me. I only wish i coulda went hunting and fishing with him more.
It's hard to not believe in god even more though, because i hope he is in a better place, because he does deserve it. He believed in God, he was a christian, but i didn't even know this till 2 years ago. He was so kept to himself in that area, i hold that for high respect. I know the times right now are the easiest for me. I know when i am getting my diploma or graduating college, im gonna miss him the most.

Christians are some of the biggest hypocrites in the WORLD. In my experience, more Christians are fake than any other religion in existence.

And you're right, the only reason people believe that shit is because they are raised with in around them all the time. Saying a prayer at the dinner table doesn't mean shit when you're 4 years old and don't know anything, but by the time you're 16 you're still praying before dinner, and you still don't know why. Or they think it's because "god" wants you to be a certain way, or you HAVE to do certain things for a "good" after life....And by "you" I mean Christians, or people in general.

Any religion that says you can do whatever you want, say sorry, and be foregiven is a CROCK OF SHIT. Who the FUCK holds people accountable? God? LOL!! YEAH RIGHT.

The reason people have the idea of God, is so that people are docile and chill.

What happened when those forced into the religion, understood the full concept of Christianity? They used the knowledge and goodness of the religion, against their oppressors. From the Protestants break away from the Roman Catholics, to the Black Slaves using Jesus as a way to break the Slavery bondage. You can say men killed in the Name of God, just for the sake of hiding behind the Ideology, but that's way to vague of an excuse, look at the bigger picture folks. I couldn't agree more.. one of my best friends is very "Christian", but she is the most superficial, judgemental person i know, i mean, i luv the girl to death and she's my best friend and all, but she is always on my case about sumthin, judging me and the things i do, over stupid shit too, cuz i'm a nice guy and have a strong moral background, even without religion. the thing that gets me the most is i don't judge her for the things she does... hookin up with random guys and fuckin the day she meets em... she's an x-raver.. she smokes.. and does all this shit, i don't say shit to her, even tho it is tempting when she goes off on her rants about what i should/shouldn't be doing. also, my oldest brother use to be the biggest ass hole when he went to church, didn't seem happy at all... he stopped goin to church (for unknown reasons) and he seems so much happier, actually calls and wants to hang out and shit... but still has religion. i can honestly say my aunt is the only Christian i know who would be able to make me believe. one of my favorite people in the world and such a strong luv for God. thats one out of... idk, a lot.

true, u can never really generalize an entire group. like i said, my aunt is the only person i know who i would call a true Christian.. but then again, how do you define a true Christian. cuz God plays a very important part in the lives of many people i know, but yet, they don't follow the "Christian" way... they do things they're not suppose to and they know what they are doin is wrong... but God is still important in their lives. is bein a true Christian merely believing in God, or havin God in ur life. not all Christians are good, not all are bad... some are good, but just not "model". and at the same time, @ athiests, not all are knowledgeable about religion, not all aren't knowledgable. some have no morals, sum have very high morals and are model citizens. most people base their opinions on who they come across and then generalize from what the majority have been like, not even realizing that the "majority" they've encountered is only a small fraction of whats really out there. ok, i've started to ramble....
