sales and popularity has fuck all to do with someones talent....think bout who be buyin cds these days....rich kids...wat do rich kids like???bling bling cars money n hoes type of bullshit rap....so they buyin all those cds n not cds from real hip hop artists because they dont give a fuck bout and dont want 2 hear good hip hop music wit some skills in it....jus simplistic pop type shit....

Yea Lynch was getting ripped off by BMR but when he realized it he kicked rocks & held out on his music until the court papers & shit wassettled. It's pointless arguing about "whos a better rapper" and most of you should know that. EVERYBODY has different taste, thats what makes an INDIVIDUAL. I always listened to cash money since they came out, I quit listentin to them pretty much after the song "i need a hot girl" came out. Wayne IMO has been alright since he started but I think hes getting better now. BUT, credit goes to the 13-17 year old girls that watch TRL and lil kids cause we ALL know that MAINSTREAM MUSIC(i.e. anything on MTV) is targeted at a certain demographic and MTV people know that wayne appeals to those little kids. Also, his flow is too...chopped sometimes and his raspy voice cracks that shit doesn't SOUND GOOD TO THE EAR. Oh and lyrically, MAC DRE shits on waynes elementary lyrics.

Wayne to me in that list of rappers that are overrated. To me to have a title of a good ass rapper, you gotta write your own shit. But it has something to do with the fact he imitates other rappers more then he raps like himself. He use to go a lot harder before he went into his jay z whoever the fuck he is now faze. But hey too each is own I ain't gonna hate on anyone bout their music taste even if its wayne. There could be a lot worst shit to listen to. Mike jones comes to mind on the gimmick shit. I 'm just a fan of good music, be it gansta rap, mainstream underground dont give a fuck what it is, if it goes hard I bump it. Just don't base rappers talent by record sales, because that shit does not make talent. That and record sales are so fucked up now in the game its not even worth listing those numbers. If you dont release mainstream love song / club hits and a single that has something that the "white crowd" will bump it aint gonna sale. Yes this is comin from a white guy, but I dont buy out shit because of a song they play 3 million times on the radio. I buy shit if it has good lyrics, beat, and some real content, not my jewelery shine my grill go hard i killed a motha fucka in the eye with my nine, type shit. Gotta have more to a track then "radio" hits.
@Evil Genius..I understand why you say that but I think the way he utilized his own language and made it make sense puts him up there as an innovative and original mc. Damn I FUCKED UP even mentioning lil wayne and MD in the same sentence, sorry for the disrespect MD RIP.
