I agree. I've been listing to Kanye for a minute now (before "Through the Wire") and have always thought the boy got skillz. Not only can he produce but he can flow too. His cd "College Drop Out" should be tight as fuck. I've heard like 3 samples off it and i was feeling them all. If you can find his mix cd's I highly recommend them. They all bump.

Im one of the biggest kanyes fan out there. He is a genius when it comes to producing. I have two of his underground mixtapes where it shows the originals that he sampled and they are just amazing how he can take part of a track and make a classic beat. I have been following this guy for over 3-4 years and have seen him improve greatly, its really good to see him getting a lot more respect now days. And he proves that he can make other than soul beats (ludacris-stand up). I cant wait for college drop out the fake advance that is out is incredible and he has a ton of mixtapes. But to answer the question he is one of my fav eastcoast rappers/producers out. He is a coo rapper but an amazing producer.

As far as rappin, he talks about real shit and he should get credit for that, but he's not the next great rapper/producer like Dr Dre.
But dre doesnt write his shit and he dont produce most his shit either.

^i agree amazing producer, but a alright rapper. is he on every track on his cd or is it like a swizz beats cd that more like a compilation
Every track has him, its a solo not a compilation.
