Not huge news, but giants related.

Mariners signed OF Darren Ford to a minor league contract.
Ford became a free agent after being designated for assignment by the Giants last month. The 26-year-old speedster batted .286 (4-for-14) and went 7-for-12 in stolen base attempts over 26 games at the major league level this season. He could stick as an extra outfielder.

Just read that. Where the hell is all this money from the Marlins coming from? They usually have about 20 people in the stands for their games. Heath Bell, Jose Reyes and they're going after CJ Wilson and Pujols/Fielder still. wtf

Jon Heyman of SI.com reports that Tim Lincecum's representatives rejected a four-year extension offer from the Giants a few months ago and told the team they wanted eight years.
Heyman says Lincecum is also OK with a one- or two-year deal. In other words, he either wants to cash in big now with a really lengthy deal or go ahead and play out his final two arbitration years before seeking a monster deal in the free agent market. The 27-year-old right-hander is likely to net $18-20 million in arbitration.

The Giants are attempting to trade Jeff Keppinger, Andres Torres and Ramon Ramirez, according to CBS Sports' Danny Knobler.
The Giants intend to keep Jeremy Affeldt, according to Knobler. Torres hit an underwhelming .221/.312/.330 this season after posting an .823 OPS in 2010. Keppinger registered an anemic .618 OPS for the Giants after coming over via trade from the Astros in July. He doesn't make for a bad utility guy, though, as he can be used all over the infield. Ramirez should draw plenty of interest. He posted a superb 2.62 ERA and 1.16 WHIP for the Giants this past year and holds career marks of 3.16 and 1.24, respectively.

Jeff Keppinger, Andres Torres and Ramon Ramirez in trade value add up to about 3 bags of hammers.... We are gonna lead the league in least run scored and ERA again next year and miss the play offs again....

Report: Hanley says no to 3B, wants trade

Enrique Rojas of ESPN Deportes reports that Hanley Ramirez does not want to play third base and wants to be traded if he can't play shortstop.
The Marlins seem to be under the assumption that Ramirez will be a good soldier and move to the hot corner, but it might not be that simple. President of baseball operations Larry Beinfest has given no indication that he's planning to deal the shortstop, but it sounds like Hanley might force his way out. Stay tuned.

GET IT DONE SABES!! DON'T BE A FAGGOT! I'd feel a hell of a lot better with a player like Hanley Ramirez on the team. Yeah, he had a down year but look at his previous years the guy is a beast and YOUNG!
