Im not a charger fan but when i think of football i don't think of class...I do not see anything wrong with rivers attitude..I think stuff like that and celebration and taunting as part of any sport..Shit this is not japan where spectators are quiet...it adds excitement. I remember back in the days with the steel curtain they would pick the quarterback up before the sack and carry him 3-4 yards and slam em...shit like that.
I like all 3 of these responses. Each has a little bit of what I'm thinking.
Now, if he was flipping fans off - that's disrespectful and he should be FINED by the league for that.
When he was headed to the lockerroom after the injury, fans were talking shit, he pointed and said (you could clearly read his lips) ,"Thanks, I appreciate that." Now that's how you talk shit back. And, I agree with winslow - the fans should be elated that they're shit talking is getting them a response from a star. Players are inadvertently taught to block the opposing fans out and play. This guy actually acknowledges them! They should be so happy.

You don't have to like him - he doesn't play for your team.

Rivers is a fiery, emotional guy. I love this guys attitude. I dont however agree with some of his antics. He is young and hopefully will mature and change a bit.
Talking shit to opposing fans is nothing new, i dig into opposing players every weekend at the Q, and believe me, they give it back. Shit even Nalen from the broncos got me one time, i didnt have a comeback for his ass. You guys got to remember that Rivers antics make for good tv, so anything that is even borderline controversial, youre gonna see it, no matter what the real story behind it is.
As for Lt giving Rivers shit on the sideline, that wasnt it at all. Lt was mad that Rivers wasnt being allowed to go back into the game. And yeah Lt and Rivers dont have the best relationship, remember Drew Brees is Lt's best friend. Lt didnt want to see him leave

i dont mind it when ppl talk shit by any means but the shit he does is very classless and not good for the organization to back a QB like that. like when he started the shit talkin to the broncos QB when they were already gonna win so it was just to rub it in, or when he flipped off the fans in the titans home and then when they won in indy he ran up to the fans and started sayin shit. he's just classless plain and simple specially if u gonna talk shit to fans. he should learn to hold his composure a lil to make himself look better. it kinda sucks because i used to love the chargers when rivers was on there and even before that then once i seen this dude actin a fool i kinda take it out on the whole team and say fuck the chargers when i shouldnt and just say fuck rivers. IMO he's the cancer of the chargers and the fans will soon realize

lol. yeah i hear that but if the team aint seein eye to eye with him but wont say shit cause there winning then once u lose bad then it will be a snowball effect, kinda like TO in philly. all rivers needs to do is shut his mouth and not let the fans get to him and dont rub shit in the oppenets face when u can just shake his hand and say good game. but hey i could be wrong but thats just what i see happening
