Point guards Deron Williams(notes) of Utah, Chicago's Derrick Rose(notes) and Boston's Rajon Rondo(notes) will make their All-Star Game debuts next month in Dallas, sources said Thursday.

Williams, Rondo and Rose top the list of reserves chosen by the league's coaches to participate in the Feb. 14 game at Cowboys Stadium. The names won't be made official until Thursday night, but Yahoo! Sports has obtained the list of reserves.

Besides Rondo and Rose, the East roster includes Boston's Paul Pierce(notes), Toronto's Chris Bosh(notes), Charlotte's Gerald Wallace(notes) and Atlanta's Joe Johnson(notes) and Al Horford(notes).

The West reserves are the New Orleans' Chris Paul(notes), the Lakers' Pau Gasol(notes), Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant(notes), Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki(notes), Memphis' Zach Randolph(notes) and Portland's Brandon Roy(notes).

Among the notable candidates left off the team are the Los Angeles Clippers' Chris Kaman(notes), New York's David Lee(notes) and Denver's Chauncey Billups(notes).

lol, they had monta do some thing were he bought all these unprivledge familes tickets to the game and backpacks for the kids. they are in the monta's mobs on the 2nd floor. they all had signs that spelt his name Monte. It was pretty damn funny.

Only way ellis gets in is if some guard gets hurt and then they have to choose ellis or kaman as the replacement

Randolph is averaging 21 pts and 12 rebounds a game on a Memphis team that is 25-19 after starting 1-9, and has beaten teams like Portland, Dallas, Cleveland, Denver, San Antonio, and Orlando.

I can see the arguement for Ellis as an All-Star, but it's tough to take out some of those players. If they dropped McGrady and put him in, that would be a lot more fair. I'd agree with that.

Roy plays on a way better team than monta, so obviously Monta will get more opportunities (Ex: his 42min/game avg)

Roy has better Stats anyways....

Monta Avg 3 more points and 1 more steal a game.....

Roys FG, FT, and 3pt % are better and He commits 2 less TO a game..and his team is in playoff contention

how are Monta's Stats better?
