when the bay area actually supports their artists then your opinion might matter. anyone getting money these days is a sell out. considered me sold! it always amazes me how cats always want to criticize. its like a dude broke as fuck talking about "that motherfucker is dum, if it was me with that money, i would do...." this and that. how did he get there to begin with. it definately wasnt listening to some broke hating idiots. get your minds right people! e-40 is doing his thing.

Then, you kinda made my point....going the commercial route, compromising his integrity and reputation. I understand sales but there is always a line that gets crossed at some point where you end up possibly embarrassing yourself by shitting on your own career (i.e. the fans, your rep,the sound that you are known and respected for, etc...). 40 is no kid in the game....he is not "cute" and young. He can do whole albums with fools like Akon....doesnot mean the high school kids in the mid-west are gonna dig him.
ALSO, Akon may be the number 1 urban artist hands down, as you say-and that is debatable-but that does not mean everything he does is good.
Does anyone care about quality anymore?? Ya know, it is possible to have quantity (sales=$) and quality (good shit) simultaneously.
By the way, getting defensive with everyone does little for your credibility.
