Real talk playa.

More concrete he said ''I got my style from Richie Rich from 415 group''. He said that in 94 at MTV.

Rich was on Def Jam before... and that didn't make the bay worldwide. I heard he was let go for bootlegging what is now "The Game" album". I remember buying Def Squad in "99" and that's when Def Jam was doing the "Survival of The Illest" promotion, and putting a mix cd of artist on their roster in every Def Jam Release. They were pushing that one track "If I fucked Yo Bitch" on every mix cd, and I was anticipating the album. Than I heard that rumor and had to wait till "The Game" album dropped. Going back to Def Jam with a different level of expectation and knowledge of the game will definately help R.R and those surrounding him. Untill he shoots a video in the Bay and features all of his niggas in it... R.R is back...and just a part of the Bay is nationwide.

Double R is a straight Bay Area Legend ... His solo albums were fucking classics and maybe we forgot how we got to know him:

remember that 415 thing ?

Man, that was old school but it was straight classic
He is so old, and his style is outdated. He is defenitly not the man for the job.

back in the day he was sick as fuck. This is like Spice 1 getting signed

man no offense but Richie Rich had a major record deal back in the 90's. I dont think the whole nation was feelin' his shit besides the Bay Area. Don't get me wrong, his albums were sick but i dont think he'll out the Bay on the map. He's washed up in my opinion. They need a young cat that will catch the attention of all the kids who put up the money to buy music.

You must be joking !

He is not SO old, there are older artists out there than him.

And the biggest stupidity you said '' His style is outdated'' ?

How can his style be outdated if it has NO DATE for the simple fact that he is THE ONLY ONE who CAN ACTUALLY DO THAT STYLE. There`s no other with that craspy voice, type of flow that sounds good to the ear...flaussy... coming slowly to the phat beats...relaxing... and the nigga got skills, real skills. He is also a good story teller...he is A COMPLETE ARTIST.

And about the comparisson with Spice 1...you must be again joking...how can you compare Spice with Richie ? They have totally different styles !

that's why Casual, Mess, and the Team put him on their songs recently....c'mon mane.

Richie Rich KILLS every track he's on....sometimes he has less bars then anyone else, but makes a bigger impact then the person whose song it is. Case in point....I got 5 on it remixx and on the remix he did with the Team.

"I rep the 3 Ps / Priv, pills, and purp...."

now you got cats out here sayin' that shit. Dude is a LEGEND mane.

man if double r is signed that would be great. he's been out the light for a while now. the last couple of albums after seasoned vet didnt really satisfy me. his lyrics are always on point, its just the production needed to be better. he could probably put the bay back if promoted right this time by def jam. check out his lyrics on baby bashs song "i can show ya better than i can tell ya" from his last album "super saucy". double r killed that song. his lyrics keeps on getting better and better. real talk.
