RBL Posse's Ruthless By Law album and Young Cellski's Mr. Predicter album had heavy tape play. I played those 2 albums so much the sound quality on the tape became so poor. And I was so pissed to find out that Young Cellski's Mr. Predicter album was only on tape when it had first been released because I finally had made that transition from tape to CD at that time.
Bought the tape anyway.

94-95....no albertsons, its was QFI foods....or Cala...

You had a copy of Master P's answering machine message tape and had it on yours for months

you had more than 5 pendletons, used three flowers, starched ya pants or used candle wax to get them perfect creases....
or you put ya pants in between the mattress's for the next day, you did it in jail and you still did it on the outs outta habit

your second home was 21 tower rd or YGC

"hey can you buy up for me"

You got shitfaced when Mickeys Ice came out and you and 5 of ya homies sang
" Young Niggaz drinkin Mickey's...."
loud as fuck at 3am in the middle of the street drunk as fuck

" Expedition...Funky Expedition....." ( ya'll know that was the shit and you prolly recorded a rap to the instrumental on the tape )

You made mixtapes before there were "mixtapes"...using 2-3 tape players, one to play the beat, one to record and maybe one to do overdubs with
You knew how to loop a part of a cassette using the pause and record buttons with a dual deck tape player..you rapped on every instrumental you could find...buyin up hella singles for the instro...you later upgraded and got a 4track years later

You "keeeeeept it oooooon the reeeeeeeal"

You used to buy all the new shit at Cue's....and you got all your posters there

Computer.....huh?....internet...? huh?...oh you mean that america online thing i heard about...

" Hey...you going to school today...? "

" naw...you wanna fade em up ? "
was the everyday thang for 2 years....the next two years were in continuation school..Peninsula...Thorton...etc..

cats absolutely could NOT smoke wit you if they wasnt fadin...even the homies....lol...all cause the damn song......"give me 2bucks and you could hit it once"....lol

If you bought like 10 tapes from the store and 10 blank tapes at the same times....and kept ya reciept...dont lie, you did it too

You from the 94-95 era if:

- You bought all your music at Scott's Music Center, Rasputins or Stop Look & Listen

- Everything you wore was Fila or North Carolina blue

- Your bedroom walls were covered with promo posters from every damn Bay artist, wether they were weak or not

- You made pipes out of damn near everything

- You ordered youe whole wardrobe out of the Eastbay catalog

- Every rapper you loved from the Bay signed with Priority or Relativity

- There were no such thing as OG copys of CDs

- You was waiting forever for that new IMP album

- Squares would sing the "Game Recognize Game" hook and say "CAN'T recognize game in the Bay mang."

- Herm "Trying To Survive In The Ghetto" was the first time you ever heard the word "compilation" and didnt even know what the hell it meant.

lol oh yeah i forgot about that shit... i was hella waiting n shit and waiting and waiting.... thinking there was a big ass gap inbetween the song... i couldn't believe that shit.... i kept fast forwarding.... pressing play.... fast forward, play ..... nothing and i kept looking at the tape and i still had high hopes cuz there was still a lot of tape left. In the end... nothing.... Side A had already came to an end i was pumped. I was hoping it was gonna be the first song on Side B but it wasn't. So what i did was dub stressed out from wcbb1 on the cellski tape since there was hella tape room on Side A. It didn't do justice tho cuz the recordings sounded hella different. The sound quality on Stressed Out sounded hella crappy compared to the rest of the album

Sway was on CMC along with Franzen and the Trace Dog

Nikes back then werent even colorful yet, mostly black and white

Recording a song off the radio was second nature
