well if you going to play any games online, like madden or some shooters, then id buy the console that most of your friends have so you can play against them online. they are both similar. ps3 has blu-ray but blu-ray movies are like $30 and if you dont have a 1080p HDTV then it really doesnt matter for the blu-ray. Xbox has way more games to choose from and the online is better. you can find 12 months of online service for $30 bucks sometimes so thats like $2.50 a month to play online. not bad at all. not to mention if you got a netflix account you can stream movies thru your xbox.

ill tell to you like this if you like playing online games the 2 best games online games are Socom and Cod which is both on PS3 but only Cod is on 360. I bought a PS3 cuz i knew Socom would not be on 360. Lol @ someone saying a 360 looks better in HD then a PS3, if anything its the other way around but its not much of difference if any. Like i said before 360 has about 10 to 15 good games that isnt on PS3 but ive only had my PS3 a little over a year and have 11 games go figure and neither is COD or Madden.

if you're gettin a ps3 or an xbox360 elite...you should have an HDTV...looks like shit otherwise. i played mine on a normal TV, and then on my girl's parents HD when we were house sittin...then we broke up and i moved out...and i got a 50" plasma...there is no comparison.

if you're going to spend like $600 on a fuckin console, you should step it up and get the TV as well....my old shit didn't even have RCA cables so I would have had to get an adapter...I just got the plasma and said fuck it. But I had also saved up for it for like 4-5 months.

I Just don't see a point in playing those games or spending that kinda money on a console which is meant to provide extremely good graphics when you don't have a TV capable of showing you the full capacity of the console...

just my opinion...and yeah, i knwo not everyone has the $ to buy a plasma...it's just a suggestion

I had to play on a non-HDTV for a while cuz I had no other choice. It sucked (some games more than others like GTA4 for example was horrible!), but if you like playing games it's still worth it because aint no new games coming out for older game consoles.

yeah, i mean i know not everyone can afford an HDTV...so it's not a requirement...but the graphics are obviously much better. GTA4 on a regular tv was garbage...i mean, it was kinda garbo regardless but it was better on the HDTV as far as graphics...i just wasn't feelin the game overall...it was cool but nothin like san andreas....and fallout 3 is easily the best game i've ever played.
