Would you compare Monta Ellis to Allen Iverson?

Kinda, but he really hasn't reached AI's level yet. AI is/was able to score score score. But that might be due to him being the main focal point on offense. I see Monta as more of a big contributer scoring wise.

Similarities:
Size, Speed, Scoring Ability, Absorb contact and finish, Confidence, mid-range jumper, Steals

Differences (mainly what Iverson has that Monta doesnt):
Crossover, 3pt range, cornrows, shoe contract


Let's not forget that Iverson went to college and went to the championship game. so he was more ready coming into the NBA then monta. and when Philly drafted iverson he was alrady slotted in as their franchise player. Monta came in and sat on the bench as a 3rd stringer, and eventually showed his promise as to make J-rich expendable.

Monta isnt close to Iverson, but he is defiently on the right path. I just think that monta needs better ball handling and once the refs figure out who he is, he will get to the free throw line a lot and increase his PPG.

^good assessment.

I honestly haven't seen enough of Monta to try and make an accurate comparison, but from what I have seen, numb's assessment seems cool.

TATS!...but yeah if he can improve his ball handling skills he would be even greater. I like how he's trying to dish off the ball more if he can't score with his trick layups.

Not a chance!! He is good though!! But he will never be as good as A.I.!! A.I. is the greatest 6 foot and under player to ever play the game in my eyes!! And there game is different as well in my eyes!! Got Em!!

Let me clarify:

Would you say their style of play is similar?

I don't care if you think Allen Iverson is more of a superhero than Monta...
