industry is changing and the market place is saturated with product, im sure digital downloads from official sites are included in sales these days but most people see music now as a free commodity, why pay for it when its free.

and its true theres so much half hearted music around i download to work out which album i want to buy, because i cant trust artists anymore, but thats up to the artists to work twice as hard to get my money, because quality music is still out there in abundance.

This is only the beginning of a bigger revolution within the entertainment world.

Well my fav rap artist iz Brotha Lynch Hung & Mitchy Slick. Those niggaz are underground & I don't know how much Lynch last cd sold & I don't know how much USS sold so far. Tech N9ne iz the tightest rapper IMO & hiz first week numbers were good 4 an underground album. But 2 me I almost never look @ salez cuz when that artist royalty statement comez in I'm not getting a cut. Give me a good cd & you'll get my money.

PEOPLE ARE TOO LAZY TO PURCHASE A ALBUM IF THEY LIKE IT OR NOT.
Lazy?More like cheap. If you can get the same product that cost $12.99 for FREE and you never have to leave your house?Well, you do the math.

I dont agree with that. Why cant you have both? If low budget underground cats can have tight beats, why cant the mainstream?

u know what i think, the reason why shitty rappers are gettin more attention then real rappers is obviously the industry. industry dont want hardcore rappers no more because they dont want another tupac biggie and other rapper conspiricy's. like they dont want no one dying over a song. but thats what i think

I know millionaires that dont buy no albums they say they dont have no time to go to no record store and its not that serious to them they have bigger priorities then some cd.

Not at all.

the industry actually wants what the majority of people supports so they go by whats hot. And old school lyricists and gangsta shit isnt whats hot in this era its all about the club, bc where do all rappers do shows at other then arenas? THE CLUB so thats why all the square shit gets no play. if you cant dance to it tehn times out of ten its gonna lose.

No disrespect(im using these names as a example) but when is the last time you heard the club bumpin some Murs or Immortal Techinques?
