Post their beats or instrumental on the net for artist to download and make mixtape tracks? It seems like every other regions producers post their insrumentals online but I rarely see any traxxamillion, rob lo, studio tone, jeffro, sho nuff, rick rock, droop e, etc.. I'd love to use and hear some of the better Bay beats on mixtapes.

Stop bein stingy Bay Area prducers and get you beats out there anyway you can.

haha at stingy so no name rapper can take a dope beat and ruin it when a producer can sell it to a rapper who can spit on it and make money

why would bay producers give away beats. bay producers are barely eating themselves. i cant name 1 up and coming bay rapper killing the mix tape game right now. I know of established bay rappers dropping mixtapes, and if i were a producer i would give it to them, but i wouldnt give free beats for a bunch of weak ass rappers who arent givin me shit in return. If u are serious about your craft, u would pay for a beat.

I feel what he's sayin why not take 10 beats and give them to EVERY rapper that wants it. It's guaranteed promotion (if the producers puts A -keyword- A drop sumwhere in the beat where it can't be cut out) first rappers gone be like "yeah I got that from such n such" cats that got gwop ta buy beats might hear a dope a$$ beat and hear the producers drop and cop (I copped and sold quite a few beats that way) plus if you that dope it shouldn't be a problem to make more slaps. You can't get on if you're the only one hearing your shit.

I'd probably drop a beat tape if thats what youre talking about. Which means, I aint gonna give you a whole track but just a 1 minute long snippet, I dont see what the problem is with that. It's good promotion. If youre talking about finished tracks? then its pretty much fuck off with that.

I shoulda known that everyone on here would take my post the wrong way.

I'm not saying give anything away. I'm askin why is it that if you go to different websites that have instrumental cds with various beats on em that you can download you rarely see any beats from Bay Area Producers? Other producers are doin it and winning. It aint like you giving it away for free cuz most likely it'll have a drop in it numerous times letting you know who made the beat and it'll only be a couple mins long. Basically for promo use only.

Whats the use of having all these tracks that just sit on your pc all day? Make them available so artist can make hot tracks wit em and display your beats all at the same time. Shit someone might make a certified hit but you'd never know cuz you too busy being stingy and game goofy. Its all about promotion people and from the looks of it we hurtin in this category. Step ya creativity up and get yo music out there.

your kind of contradicting ya self homie....... first its put you beats out there for mixtapes......then it put samples of your beats out there with your tags on them so people cant jack them.

wich one is it?
Nah bruh im not contradicting anything. When I think mixtape I think various beats, some long some short, with tags all thru it, so like you said nobody can jack your beats. I wouldn't expect for anyone to give away anything for free. Its like a promo copy which is what I thought you all would assume I was talking about. Like I said maybe I need to be more specific next time.

I give away a beat every now and then. Them days when I make like 5 beats in one day. Ill post the weakest one up on soundclick for you people that think that craft is only u. If you are a serious artist coming up you will pay for beats that's how I feel. I produce music and I also rap. I still cop beats(yes I pay with money out my own pocket) cause I understand craft man. I understand that producer came out his pocket and paid 1000-5000 on equipment. Sat at home weekend after weekend perfecting his craft so he could sale it one day. Not give the shit away for free. People wonting shit free is what's hurting the bay. You stop feeding these I won't to be a rapper free shit. He will either come out his pocket or some where down the line say fuck it and try something else

that actually would be pretty clean kinda like that "j armz" mixtape dude puts all the best mainstream beats every month on a mixttape called "how to be an mc"

the bay doesn't have enough material i dont think. maybe if the mixtape came out once a year. some of the bigger bay songs you can find instrumentals "from the hood" "super hyphy" etc

oh your talking about giving away beats that aren't songs yet? nahhhhhh its bad who in their right mind does that

@ threefoe

Define "winning". When you say other producers are doing it and winning...

Your philosophy is flawed because the "hey look at my beats for promo" market is just as cluttered as the "I'm tryin to sell my beats" market because the cats who want to sell beats turn to the "promo" route as a means to get heard. You know how many mufuckas that is?!?!?
