If anyone follows world news, you know that the Russian military, "Bear", crushed the army of the closest democratic nation to its borders, Georgia. American politicians (Bush, Cheney, McCain, Obama) are chastising and renouncing the actions of Russia towards its close American ally. I wonder, does America still have any credibility left with the rest of the world, for the rhetoric from our politicians to even matter? If America's condemnation does move the rest of the world against Russia, would Russians really respect or accept America's stand against their actions. I personally think that Vladamir Putin (Russia's new Czar) is the most dangerous man in the world. Russia has been a de facto beneficiary of the Iraq war, because of the rise in the price of oil. If you didn't know Russia has the third largest oil reserves in the world. So as America is spending money and spilling blood, our enemies are becoming richer while having time to observe our tactics and motivations. The way Russia attacked Georgia, is a carbon-copy of the way America first attacked Iraq (shock & awe). Georgia also has the only oil pipeline that goes to China, that is not controlled by Russia. Sounds like another "Black Gold" powermove to me. Anyhow, I just wondered what other people may think, or if people even care?

Much of Georgia's military was in Iraq helping the U.S. fight it's war while Russia attacked. That in itself raises concern for the U.S. government.

And to answer the question- at this point there is nothing the U.S. can do other than frown upon it. Their credibility (or ability to pressure other nations) is only as great as their military might, which, at this point, is exhausted on other war fronts.

Go N Fuck Shit Up !!!! over seas N air
eeeeehhhh, wrong, the last thing america needs is another economy crippling military front getting our soldiers killed for an obscure idea, i say at this point, fuck the world, we need to drill at home, fix the economy at home, and close the book on everyone else for a few decades, then take down china, who gives a shit at that point, once the ecomies better and gas doesnt cost 4.50 a gallon, we can swim the 7 seas and take over australia, as soon as i can fill up my tank without worrying if i ate that day, the military can do as it pleases

I say stay out of it.America right now has enough issues with the death toll of US troops rising daily over oil (oops i mean "the war on terror") in the middle east.Americas credibility with foreign countries is non existant at this point IMO.
