the world is like one big shop front window these days and I also have a good ability to read people as well as staying in touch with reality, whatever country it is. Getting a feel of where people are at going off words/actions, also you only need to look at what your media is pumping out to see what is being spread and infecting the masses.

Not talking about self mutilation here rofl, I am talking about massive attacks on civillians from outsiders. Question, do you think the US won't be a target again in the near future?

its GOING to happen again thats guranteed....
Well you answered my question and contradicted yourself.

the patriot act HAS made us safer KNOW THAT.....whether your against it or what ever is your own thing.....
Of course taking away the rights of men keeps a tight grip, no doubting that, but if it keeps on going the US will become a facist state.

Also, there is an old saying every great empire has crumbled from within.. or something along those lines..

WXS I like your idea about cracking down on illegals by going after the companies hiring them, but I think they need to be hit so hard that they wouldn't dare hire any as if they did it could potentially fuck up their biz

go for the pokcets, thats how most problems are solved.
I AGREE, BUT IT ALL COMES DOWN TO MONEY...MOST LIKELY BEHIND THE SCENES THESE BUSINESSES OR ECONOMIC CONSULTANTS ARE WARNING THE PRESIDENT. THAT THIS WOULD BE A BAD MOVE. BUT ON THE FOREFRONT HE'S DOING THE MINIMAL TO KEEP THE PEOPLE THINKING SOMETHING IS BEING DONE. JUST STROKING THEM. IT'S ALL SMOKE AND MIRRORS.
SAME WITH THESE WARS.

ANYWAYS HERE'S WHAT JUST CRACKED ON THIS WHOLE EVENT RECENTLY"

WARSAW (Reuters) - Poland agreed on Thursday in the midst of the Georgia crisis that it would host elements of a U.S. global anti-missile system after Washington agreed to boost Poland's own air defenses.

The move is likely to heighten tension between Russia and the West, already high over Moscow's military action in Georgia. Russia says the U.S. system poses a threat to its security, despite U.S. assurances to the contrary.

The preliminary deal was signed by deputy Polish Foreign Minister Andrzej Kremer and U.S. chief negotiator John Rood. It must be endorsed by both governments and Poland's parliament.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk had insisted the United States provide more military cooperation in return for consent to host 10 interceptor rockets at a base in northern Poland.

Washington says the interceptors and a radar in the Czech Republic will form part of a global shield protecting the United States and its allies from long-range missiles that could in the future be fired by Iran or groups such as al-Qaeda.

"We have crossed the Rubicon," Tusk said just before the deal was signed.

"We have finally got understanding of our point of view that Poland, being a crucial partner in NATO and an important friend and ally of the United States, must also be safe."

Rood described the agreement with Poland as strong. "It elevates our security relationship to a new level," he said.

Washington has agreed to move a battery of Patriot missiles

from Germany to Poland as part of the deal, a senior U.S. defense official said in Washington. Around 100 U.S. military personnel would be needed to operate the system, he said.

RUSSIAN DISPLEASURE

In what appeared to be a first sign of Moscow's displeasure, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Thursday canceled a planned trip to Warsaw in September, Polish diplomats said.

Russia has also been angered by Poland's strong verbal support for Georgia.

Moscow has threatened to take retaliatory steps against Poland and the Czech Republic, its former reluctant vassals who are now part of the European Union and NATO, for hosting the U.S. system on their territory.

If everything goes to schedule, the interceptor base would be ready by around 2012, officials have said. The Czechs have already signed an agreement to host the radar although parliament there must ratify it.

Tusk said this week that United States had become more receptive to the idea of offering aid to boost Poland's own defenses in the light of Russia's military action in Georgia.

But U.S. officials suggested Polish leaders may have become more interested in concluding negotiations that had dragged on for months after Moscow's actions in Georgia sparked alarm.

The Patriot missiles would provide protection against short-range ballistic missiles such as the SS-21 system used by Russia in Georgia, according to the Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance, a U.S. group that lobbies in favor of missile defense.

"Deploying a United States Strategic asset that protects the national security of the United States in the country of Poland further enhances the security and sovereignty of Poland," the group's president Riki Ellison said.

Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski played down the impact of the events in Georgia on the deal, apparently hoping to soften any criticism from Moscow.

The shield deal, if approved by parliaments in Prague and Warsaw, will be a success for President George W. Bush, whose foreign policy record has been widely criticized.

I REALLY DONT THINK THAT IS SOMETHING TO BE PROUD OF, WHEN IT COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED. I DONT THINK BUSH SHOULD BE CREDITED FOR MAKING ANYTHING BETTER EXCEPT TAX REFUNDS.

there already is a revised patriot act and its even worse than the first.....

and Bush is doing something about the border....hes eliminating it and creating a North American Union.....

Bush would also need a war to enforce his continuity of government plan and suspend a vote.....only way he could stay in power and hes already signed the order and can call for it in any time of crisis he sees fit and it bypasses congress against the constitution and all....what then?

however real masterminds who seek to gain money off war are aligning with Barak Obama.....

"Obama offers voters a choice of wars not a choice against war."

Zbigniew Brzezinski is supporting Obama.....

In June, former foreign policy adviser to President Jimmy Carter, Zbigniew Brzezinski, presented the basic storyline that would be used against Russia two full months before the Georgian invasion of South Ossetia. The article appeared on the Kavkazcenter web site. Brzezinski said the United States witnessed “cases of possible threats by Russia, directed at Georgia with the intention of taking control over the Baku-Ceyhan pipeline”.

Brzezinski: “Russia actively tends to isolate the Central Asian region from direct access to world economy, especially to energy supplies..If Georgia government is destabilized, western access to Baku, Caspian Sea and further will be limited”. http://www.kavkazcenter.com/eng/content/2008/06/13/9798.shtml

Brzezinski is not only the architect of the mujahadin-led campaign against Russia in Afghanistan in the 1980s, but also, the author of “The Grand Chessboard–American Primacy and it’s Geostrategic Imperatives”, the operating theory behind the war on terror which involves massive US intervention in Central Asia to control vital resources, fragment Russia, and surround manufacturing giant, China

“Ever since the continents started interacting politically, some five hundred years ago, Eurasia has been the center of world power…..The key to controlling Eurasia, says Brzezinski, is controlling the Central Asian Republics.”

his stance against illegal immigrants....although not solid atleast hes doing something about a growing problem....
wha????

maybe initially we kicked there ass etc...

but now? hell no the taliban...al quaeda...and numerous other insurgent groups in afghanistan are the most active they've ever been since we first invaded....afghanistan is more dangerous than iraq these days so i dont kno where u came up with that from

my relative is in the 173rd airborne brigade they just came back from afghanistan in july and they had a ROUGH deployment including losing 9 soldiers in an outpost attack two weeks before they were coming home...aint that a bitch?

Personally I don't think strangling your own people and others around the world is the way to go. A better soloution is to be calm and let others sort their own problems and not be the world police.

and on the other hand you have all the deaths these latest wars have caused.

I am talking about the masses here, not the minority.
