STL has one of the WORST run defenses in the NFL, and Gore only had ONE big run...but was held in check before that...just to throw you that "worhtless" stat.

On top of that, AZ is ranked 15th in the league in run defense, and Seattle 16th...Gore only had 55 yds against them.

Another "worthless" stat for you.
Has Gore ever ran well against Arizona? He hasn't done much this season, which is ok I guess. It's progress. And how many yards did Gore have against Seattle last season? Ok then. This is a very important game for both teams though. The 9ers need to win this one if they want to go to the playoffs.

whats up with gore this year? I thought with the addition of the WRs through trades and FAs, the offense upgraded and smith now has more targets to throw to but damn, whats up wit the 9ers offense?

damn as matter of fact, all the top 4 RB's arent doin too hot this year..off to a slow start....

It's not Gore.. There are two reasons the Niners' offense has sputtered..

1. Bad play calling by a rookie Offensive Coordinator. It looks like he might be starting to get the hang of it though.

2. The offensive line. I don't really understand this one. It's basically the same unit as last year with the exception of Kwame Harris being benched, and they did a good job last year. This year they aren't protecting Alex Smith well and Frank Gore has no holes at all. They need to get it together because they surely have the talent.

Once those two things are corrected, the offense will begin moving.

By the way, the Niners should win this. I won't give a score because nobody is ever right about scores anyway.

So because of an opportunity to take a lead…and the need to win this game…they will win? How many times have teams had the opportunity to take the lead in their division…and needed to…and fell flat on their face.

In the Smith is a bust thread you were talking about how teams just stack the box and make him try to beat you. What makes you think Seattle won’t do the same? He’s been terrible this year…why is this the game he turns it around?

Because they NEED to?
he's trying to say that the team is going to step it up at home. If we want to make the playoffs we cant afford to lose at home to a divison rival. you're weak just like the browns! ha ha ha

Steelers had/have the #7 run defense this year though and that defense is lookin godly this year. Its not all Gores fault, The niners line is lookin sorry this year (no offense).

Riiiight....you mean in 2006 when Seattle had a SLEW of injuries to the team, including Shaun Alexander AND Matt Hasselbeck, and STILL made the playoffs? Last time I checked, it was 2007 and 2006 has absoultely SHIT to do with 2007.
