the ending in "there will be blood" was the best thing about the movie lol

daniel day lewis acted his ass off, but the plot was ZZZzzzZZZZZzzzzz no matter how you slice it.

as for "no country" - 75% of the movie was great. once the kurt russel looking dude (the main character, i forgot his name) died the movie went south big time.
The main character in the film was tommy lee jones, alot of people miss that fact. the film is about how the world and the west has changed so much from the olden times of sheriff's like tommy lee jones character.

Main character of the book might have been Tommy Lee Jones' character, but the focus was not him in the film. Which is a serious flaw when you couple it with the ending they used.

All of a sudden the focus is on a marginal, at best, character to carry the finally and whole moral of the story.

wait theres 3 movies? i thought it was just death proof and planet terror packaged under grindhouse name?

~k.

I consider Grindhouse one film. I saw it in the theater that way. With fake trailers and everything. To me that is the way it was meant to be seen. Not this chopped up bullshit the Winestine Bro's did.

^^^The trailers were the best part. I cant wait for "machete" to drop. Planet Terror was tight, Deathproof was alright at the time when is saw it in the theater, but i watched it again and its garbage.

People need to stop letting movies be "overrated". Theyre only "overrated" because u let ur dumbass friends or family or whoever the fuck decide what movies to watch for you.

Fuck animated movies, fuck movies involving old farts (jack nicholson, etc.) doing young people things, fuck parody movies (epic movie, etc.), fuck movies involving pregnancy.

Oh yeah, and want to start a real "overrated" movie discussion? what the fuck was so great about the Departed?

The Departed was great. Probably the only Americanized foreign remake I have ever liked. All the actors did great jobs in their roles, the cat and mouse game between Damon and DiCaprio was intense, the story flow was good, it was a mob movie not about the Italian mob for once, and the ending was dope. What wasn't there to like?

I like it just as much as Infernal Affairs which is the 2002 Hong Kong movie it was remade from.

What's wrong with animated movies too? There have been some really good ones.

Exactly. Loved Departed and loved Infernal Affairs.

What kind of animated movies we talking? The Pixar films? If so, those are dope movies andf stunning to look at. Nothing like watching Finding Nemo on Blu-ray.

Awesome movies and Park is the shit.

I dont know if youve seen All his movies, but if not, check out "Joint Security Area". It deals with North/South Korea border, and the friendships that are made and the tragedy that ensues from it. Great flick, right on par with his "revenge" trilogy.

Also, "Memories Of Murder" is another Korean flick that is really good. Start with those two and ill give you a few more.

^^^ lol, Yes it did.

It's funny because when I screened Aqua Teen Hunger Force I actually kind of liked it but I think I was delusional when watching it at 4am after being up 32 hours and 18 of those hours working straight through. I went back like a week later to watch it with some friends and was like "wow, this is crap."
