ghost recon: future warfare beta. kinda tricky to get used to the control scheme after so much cod & bf but its fun once you get it down. i think it feels like a 3rd person version of bf3, but that's just me.

I did the same thing with Borderlands when I borrowed it from my nephew. I played for a bit and put it down for like a month. Picked it back up for a couple of days and put it down for a couple of more months. Picked it back up for a couple of more days and then put it down for over a year.

I bought Darksiders for $10 the other day. I haven't started it yet, but I will within the next few days.

I've been tempted to play Red Dead Redemption again, so I might do that soon as well.

I bought I Am Alive for $19.99 I believe it was and thought it was pretty dope. Interesting and different. It's a Post-Apocalyptic game. Resources are limited so you have to spend a decent amount of time gathering any resources you can (bullets, food, etc). You also have to do a bit of planning when enemies approach as often times you'll have 1 bullet and that's it. You have to decide if you want to engage or just walk away (sometimes you have no choice).

There is also a lot of climbing buildings, but unlike other climbing games I am alive focuses heavily on your stamina. Your stamina drains pretty rapidly so if you run out, you'll drop to your death. You can use food/soda/etc. to give you more stamina or throughout the game you can find a few pins (can't recall the term right now) that you can hammer into the building and just rest hanging from it, which will allow you to regenerate stamina. So again, more planning when you climb. You have to make sure you take the fastest route or you'll end up wasting valuable resources or die.

The problem with this game was it was short as fuck, even for a $20 game. If it was longer, I'd give it a 4/5. Since it was so short, 2.5-3.0/5. I don't know if they are planning on releasing add on's or what, but it did have a cliff hanger ending so I suspect so.

For those considering buying the game - if you don't mind dropping $20 for a short game, buy it. If you value that $20 don't. I had fun playing it, just was very irritated it ended so quickly.

The whole game has a really dark feel to it. There is a massive amount of dust in the city

well, this game fucking sucks. its an open map, where missions are located like GTA. you earn new abilities by killing creatures/ troops, all while button mashing.

1/10 bc even the story sucks and i hate button mashers, the cut scenes are also blah.

Sniper Elite V2. I was a big fan of the first Sniper Elite so I bought this one. It only cost $50 instead of $60. It's not a run n gun type of game. You gotta pick your shots carefully and you can die pretty easily. Sniping is more realistic. You gotta take into account wind, gravity, stance, and heartbeat. It has X-ray killcams which make your shots really satisfying. The AI can be pretty dumb at times but I can overlook it. Multiplayer is online co-op only. No competitive or split screen. The demo has been out for a while for anyone who might be interested.
