It's non existant when I ask who is: Aceyalone, Jae Milz, Murda Mook, Murs, The Pharcyde, The Grouch, Living Legends, Phonte, Big Pooh, Saigon, Hi-Tek, Phil Da Agony... cats are clueless.... but then they'll be like "YO! THAT NIGGA YABOY GOT FIRE!! NO ONE IN THE HIP HOP INDUSTRY IS TOUCHIN HIM" I respect that there are some people who only listen to bay area hip hop, but most of those dudes don't give other music (outside of the bay) a chance. That's why they have a lack of hip hop sensibility. Thus, creating a crazy hype over rappers that rap only about Coke, Guns, and Violence. <---and it's easy to give nice delivery with those topics because everyone else is doing it! AND MOST OF TIME, SHIT THEY'RE SAYING IS 100% B.S.

I'm gonna say it again. HOMIE IS OVERRATED. I'll stop once people will realize they're wrong, or until YaBoy can actually impress me with his rhymes. Cuz after a while, studio gangsters get played out, and I rather use my car battery on some real hip hop bay shit.

Ultimately it's all opinion no matter how much you try to make YOUR opinion the end all be all. Just because you may be more articulate or more in touch with your opinion it doesn't make it any more fact than anyone else's opinion.

You make the size of the font for "HOMIE IS OVERRATED" like that's supposed to convince people that your opinion is somehow fact when it's JUST another opinion.

Ya Boy is definately over rated for damn sure. He still has alot to learn & if he keeps at it he can become great. His flow is nice, but every song sounds the same. He is a mixtape rapper. I bought "Rookie Of The Year" on the strength of B.A.R.T and I was extremely disappointed, the production was tight, but dude is almost like caricature, he doesn't seem genuine. If he stick with Quinn he may be able to elevate his rhymes.

i dont give a fuck about the cat who made thread maybes hes hatin or maybe hes a ya boy fan but feels hes overhyped..my point was any thing negative said about ya boy on here all citys guaranteed to be in the threa at least 5 times defendin him i mean as a grown man which im assumin he is thats a little pittiful

jacka is a great artist and the jack artist is one of my favourite bay albums but quinn ( even tho quinn imo isnt that great as some of yall make him out to be) and yuk would eat jacka up lyrically he is not on their level yet.

I think Ya Boy will continue to get better. He's still pretty young. He's already pretty good but sometimes his lyrics are too simple but other times they're on point.
