The Official YA BOY is overrated thread

There's no question that Ya Boy is really tight right now.

Yet, He kinda shot himself in the foot with his start:
He started off as a sort of gangsta rapper. Especially with his debut album, every single track except for "How you Want it" was flooded with lyrics and metaphors referring to guns, red dots, glocks, and coke. The way he delivers, and his clever ryhmes are impressive, yes, but he could've attempted to make a more well rounded album. He needs to rap about deeper things, otherwise his career well end up shot.

Kinda reminds me of Spice 1. So much potential, but just wasted. Maybe Ya boy will improve as time goes on.
