i been reading his mercury blog for awhile, extra baggs, the dudes that replaced him are pretty good as well. csn kinda sucks cuz with maiocco they kinda lessened how much he posts, he used to do a whole lot more, then when he went to csn he was almost a non factor, hopefully baggs doesnt have the same treatment

Jonathan Sanchez was shaky in his spring debut Wednesday, giving up four runs -- three earned -- on four hits and a strikeout over just one inning against the Cubs.
At least he didn't walk anyone. The Royals are counting on Sanchez providing some much-needed stability to their rotation this season, and while he does have plenty of upside, he's been anything but stable during his career. We're expecting plenty of ups and down from him again in 2012.

Pat Burrell has formally agreed to scout for the Giants this season, reports Hank Schulman of The San Francisco Chronicle. The slugger retired this offseason and is currently providing internal evaluations of San Francisco's prospects.

I am interested in 3 things right now. 1. Will we sign Matt Cain? 2. Does Pill make sense at 2nd base if for nothing else his bat in the lineup every day? 3. Will we be at the bottom of the runs scored leader board again?

These to me are our 3 biggest ?s

Report: Cain, Giants extension talks heat up

Long-term contract talks between the Giants and Matt Cain's representatives have increased as Cain's self-imposed Friday deadline approaches, according to Andrew Baggarly of CSN Bay Area.
Cain told reporters last week that he will cut off negotiations on Opening Day so that he can focus on the season. Five years and $100 million is the "absolute floor in negotiations," according to Baggerly. We don't doubt that to be true -- if San Francisco allows Cain to hit the open market after the season, he could fetch a six-year pact in the range of $120 million, perhaps from the Dodgers' new ownership group. The 27-year-old Cain registered a sparkling 2.88 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 179/63 K/BB ratio in 221 2/3 innings last year.

Giants need to hurry up and get this shit done.
