btw kind of sad to see Torres go. He was vocal and played with a passion. Loved hearing him root on his teammates while they were batting and always be the first person at the top of the stairs to give them high fives. The team that won the world series(hitters anyways) is no more! We'll look pretty different next year with no Burrell, Torres, Ramirez, Derosa, Ross, etc. This is what Torres had to say a couple minutes ago to Andrew Baggarly:

“We won the World Series,” Torres said by phone from Puerto Rico. “How would I ever forget the Giants, the fans, all the people? I’ll always respect them and always thank them for everything. I always said I’ll put some part of the Giants in my heart.”
“I always told the Giants, `You could release me and I’ll never say a bad word,’” Torres said. “The organization, the city and the fans – they treated me like family. Everything is great and I love it.”

ANDRES THE GIANT!!! YOU'LL ALWAYS BE A GIANT BREH BECAUSE YOU WERE A BIG PART OF THE TEAM THAT DID IT!

every person affiliated with san diego that ISNT a lakers fan is a MAGIC fan. The fuck is that.

I think this is as jiggy Sabean gets wit it. CSN made it seem like Torres was given to the Mets to "sweeten" the deal. (Their word, not mine.) Pagan is 30, and could be primed to have a breakout season with a new team. I dont think a starting job is his just yet though.

Rasan is a Magic fan. Not that he accounts for all of San Diego. I just know some bay area folk that are from SD originally, as well as kids my age who moved down there, who are Magic fans. I shouldnt hate on it entirely cuz the Clippers left SD in 86. And the Lakers are the Yankees in terms of fans. So that doesnt count for shit.

edit: and lets get back on point here with our Giants offseason talk.
