why is it such a failure? yeah we didnt get a big name player but it could have been a lot worse. we'll get a left-handed specialist, which we needed, for two fringe major league players. Martinez is aight and Bowker blows. so not really a loss.

lol i never said anything about bonds.. and hes having a good season not a month.. him and huff, the one whos having or had a hot month is Posey..

Red Sox did well to ask for AA RHP Dan Turpen. Strong kid, heavy fastball, good slider. Really impressed scouts this spring.

Giants were close to a deal for another bullpen guy, perhaps Scott Downs or David Aardsma. But it didn't happen at last minute.
