they gotta do something to get this offense going this is BS and its sabeans fault he always goes for old veterans we need to make a big trade and get a legit young hitter that can hit HOMERS.

We needed to get rid of bochy and sabean, but what did we do? Re-sign both of them........ wow!

At some point i'd like to see Barry be a hitting coach for us or atleast do it for the off season.. he's a knowledgeable hitter, very knowledgeable, something steroids and all that other shit can't teach you or do for you.

I think we have a good and potention 30+ Hr guy in Posey but position wise he's not quite ready. Hitting wise i'm sure he's ready.

Mark DeRosa (wrist, hand) took a few dry swings Saturday.
DeRosa will test his wrist further on Sunday, possibly with some soft-toss or light batting practice. He's not on the disabled list yet, but seems destined for it. The versatile 35-year-old called his offseason wrist surgery a "total failure" earlier this week. There's clearly something wrong.

Freddy Sanchez has joined Triple-A Fresno to continue his rehab and could join the Giants as early as Monday or Tuesday.
The Giants could use another bat in their offense, and while Sanchez won't give them any more power, he's a decent lead-off hitter if he's healthy. Whenever Sanchez does rejoin the team, it will be his first appearance since offseason shoulder surgery.

Wilson's been doin the heart attack saves for awhile now.....read an article in the newspaper a couple of days ago where the Giants are not allowed to take pregame batting practices anymore. The 1st day that was restricted Torres went 3-4 and today he's jacked a bomb. Coincidence?

yeah they locked the indoor cage, they can still take batting practice outside but its limited. heres a quote by Torres after Friday's game.

"I think it worked," Torres said. "Sometimes we take too many swings. Sometimes I hit off a tee and just keep going. Take soft toss. Do one-hand drills. (Meulens) said, 'When I played, we didn't take so many swings. Just go take BP on the field and go play.'

"It's a long season and you can get fatigued. I think it's true."

Freddy Sanchez (shoulder) is DHing for Triple-A Fresno Monday.
It appears he will not join the Giants, then, for the opening of a two-game set against the Padres on Monday night. Sanchez has played in a handful of rehab games now and should be ready for his 2010 big league debut Tuesday, unless some mysterious plan has been hatched. He's missed the first six weeks of the regular season while recovering from a shoulder injury.

According to CSNBayArea.com, Giants utilityman Mark DeRosa (elbow, wrist) will be placed on the 15-day disabled list shortly.
DeRosa has been slowed by elbow tendinitis and a sore left wrist for over a week now and the Giants have been in need of overall depth. He could be faced with another surgery if the wrist doesn't heal soon. The 35-year-old has struggled since being diagnosed with a torn tendon sheath last season in St. Louis and was batting .194/.279/.258 in 93 at-bats this year.

So when Sanchez is activated i bet the put Derosa on the DL.

The Giants are expected to recall OF-IF Eugenio Velez from Triple-A Fresno before Monday's game.
This means Mark DeRosa will officially go on the disabled list. Valez was batting .186/.271/.372 over his first 43 at-bats before being optioned to Triple-A Fresno last week.
