I do agree with you on one thing...Interscope = marketing genius...but to say that Game is ONLY selling because of those reasons is ignorant.
It was the BEST album of 2005 in terms of PRODUCTION.
And Dre only did 3 tracks on the whole album...dont forget: Kanye, Just Blaze, Cool & Dre, Havoc, Hi-Tek, Timbo, Needlz...

no doubt dude has talent. I don't think that is in question. I think that his street cred is in question here. BigFace basically said that he put the in work for the hood, and even his own set questions why game is reppin' Cedar Block Piru when he (the game) isn't even down. That's like all the internet heads who love lynch, goin' around bangin' Garden Blocc. Yeah, you are familiar with it, but it ain't YOUR hood to be claimin'. Smell me?
I mean I mean....Even GAME knows his sales will be lackluster goin' solo...that's why he opted to run with aftermath. JT couldn't provide the exposure that Dre has done for him. ANYONE who Dre co-signs for gets radio love PERIOD. It's up to the quality of the rest of the project to determine the outcome sales wise. With all that money goin' into the producers (Dre, Kanye, HiTek, Timbaland, etc.) and having to break bread with 50, his mgmt., and Dre, game HAD to go 4xplatinum just to break even. please believe that this dude can have Pac AND Biggie on his next project, and it won't do HALF that. Game will be on Koch, select-o-hits, or shit... maybe bayside will swoop him up. LMAO!! his fanbase is with those kids who feed into this beefin' bullshit, so as those kids grow out of that shit, they'll be purchasin' someone else. he can't go back to the bay for assistance, who's gonna help someone who turned they back on 'em?

LOL real talk. It's not what you use its how you use it. You can have all the hi tech synths, all the live instruments and a $800,000 SSL mixer but if you dont know what your doing you might as well be sittin there with fruity loops and cool edit. Studio equipment does not sell records. Hell DJ Quik still use the ampex reels and while he aint been platinum in a long time he still movin a consistent 100k-200k.

but face the facts interscope runs the industry. anybody with any sense of the music industry knows that...
