I just think that since 40 (like too short) is the only recognizable names out the bay, of course no ones gonna think Quinn. Plus 40 had no say cuz it was not his vid and he probably didn't try to get fools there because you know if you invite one bay rapper you're gonna have to invite them. So maybe 40 was trying to avoid all that, plus it looked like a private shoot. I don't think it had nothing to do with drake or lil Wayne being "scared of the bay", that's just more excuses to say something. After all, ppl forget, 40 fucked with cash money back in the days in 98 99 and cash money reached out to him I think on a couple occasions too, baller blockin being one of them. they may not have done songs in a long time but they know respect and recognize 40. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if 40 does a track with drake sometime in the next year or two after this. Honestly, the vid was put together sloppy or weird imo. You don't hear no major factors speak bad on 40 period and I ain't just talkin about rappers either. If people don't like his music that's fine but you can't erase him from the history books and you can't say he ain't solid.
Drake/Lil Wayne/Young Money KNOW that this is business, and seen it as a business move. The Northern California region is a big market, so WHY NOT come out here and shoot a video just so fools can have they panties all wet just cause they see "The Bay" in the video, then support Drake, the song, and his album...Straight business move. If they REALLY loved the Bay, why aint no one from the Bay signed to Young Money? Why didnt no one from the Bay get a verse on that song? Why didnt they throw an old Mac Dre verse on the song? Young Money is in a position that IF they wanted to "put someone on" they could PUT SOMEONE ON. Instead they came and reduced some so-called Bay Area Bosses into being just "extras" in a video.
