Tell me one person who has never been depressed and ill show you a liar. It happens to everyone and the weak take the easy way out.

Just my opinion...
Lol being a little depressed and suffering from depression are not the same thing. The ignorance on here is amazing at times.

The man was 63 years old he had many demon's he battled for many years. It's not as if were talking about a 20 year old that offef himself cus he broke up with his girl or some shit.

The arm chair psychiatrists on here amaze me sometimes.
i lost 2 friends to suicide. the most recent was back in 08. He was 2 years out of the air force and struggling to find his way in the civilian world. dude was a perfectionist and a neat freak. He registered for a gun at Walmart, week later when he got cleared he got a hotel room and shot himself in the chest. He left a note with his parents name, my name, and some other friends, saying he was sorry. Didnt really give an explanation. He clearly had some mental issues going on and felt that the only way to be free was to kill himself. was it a coward move? I would say more like a selfish act. he didnt take his family into consideration. He came from a good family. mom worked for the court, dad worked for the post office.
I say all that to say, for a person to take their own life they must have been in so much mental anguish that they thought they had no choice. I just wish dude would have called me. he was my guy. knew him since 9th grade. used to trade music with dude all the time, mac dre, cellski, dubee, etc. but yeah just wished he woulda called me.

I don't like reading about this it gives me a really eerie feeling. I think maybe cuz my best friend since 9th grade hung himself 6 years ago and his brother died of a heroin overdose a few months ago who was also my good friend. Think its bringing back eerie feelings bout that whole situation. RIP tho. Suicide is really weird. Think how messed up in the head you gotta be to wanna die. I've been bummed out before but never thought dieing would help.

What about the 200+ black on black murders in Chicago alone this year? What about janay mcfarlane? What about all the other little kids murdered by stray bullets. Where was the rioting then? Wheres al sharpton and all the other professional race baiters? Guess there's no money there to be made, since none of them seem to care

I agree with suicide being a cowards way out from your problems. ESPECIALLY when you have children, that epitomizes selfishness to me.
This. I'm hate every time someone famous murks themselves everyone gets all bummed out like they lost a family member. People die in this cold ass world every day and no one gives a shit. But some dude kills himself and he made some funny movies 30 years ago and everyone decides it's time to talk about suicide and depression. Hella hypocritical if you ask me. None of you prolly gave 2 shits about dude before he died. I mean really when was the last good movie that anyone saw from robin Williams lol. Pretty sure a "robin Williams is great" thread on here 1 week woulda looked pretty suspect. Talented yes but dude was just wierd imo. That's how I felt before so why switch now?

I'm sure his target audience wasn't the "#1 gangsta rap source" website so it's no surprise he gets little love here. Still, I grew up watching the dude and appreciated his humor and acting. He was a person that many people admired so quite naturally people are going to talk about his death.

I'm sure when Ernest Hemingway killed himself (about the same age, 61) people weren't calling him a coward or saying shit like "dude hasn't written anything good in years fuck that guy". Not sure why it's so shocking people will discuss the death of someone who they actually heard of verses some random guy no one has heard of (and unless there is some kind of press or story how would anyone even know about it?).

And lets not forget the thousands of innocent people who have died in drone strikes and a war on terrorism based on false intel. And you know we can't forget the fact that "terrorism" isn't applied across the board because Lanza, Rogers, Loughner and a couple of others actually fit the definition. And now we shall turn a blind eye to the instituional deviancy that paved the road for the things you listed and allowed two cops, husband and wife, to gun down their daughters BF and then turn the gun on their daughter.

Robin Williams died by his own hand. The young man who was referenced died as a result of what some say was an execution. Big difference.

And while there are extreme problems within the black community (hiv rates, teen pregnancy, unemployment, etc), that can only be rectified by a cultural shift, we can't sit here and pretend as if the CJ system or american government have been fair to minorities. People look for police to help even though their duties are to investigate and arrest NOT to protect and serve so it sends shockwaves through minority communities when you see or hear about people in authority, who have taken an oath, shooting and beating people.
