i dont condone this at all, but apparently nobody on this board has read The Prince or heard of Niccolò Machiavelli, if you honestly cant see a possible reason behind this, youre letting emotion cloud your mind.
"A man who stives after goodness in all his acts is sure to come to ruin, since there are so many men who are not good. Hence it isnecessary that a prince who is intereested in his surviaval learn to be other tahn good, making use of this capacity of refraining from it according to need."
"...it should be saved by whatever means possible, whether shameful or glorious; for if the army were saved there would be time to erase the shame..."
"...no consideration of justice or injustice, of mercy or cruelty, of honor or shame must be allowed to enter in at all."
Correct me if im wrong but i believe Sun Tzu also stated something that "in the Art Of War you must not let anything stop you from killing the enemy even God"?!.......Not sure on accuracy of the quote though read the book many years ago
BTW the quotes above are directly from Niccolò Machiavelli's book The Prince.
My emotions do cloud my mind on this situation b/c i was looking at this situation from a fathers stand point, as i am a father of an 11 month old....And it chill's me to think people would just kill an innocent child for what i consider "no reason at all".
