I always find myself pulling for the A's. I absolutely love the fact that they can compete, despite having the lowest payroll in baseball. Props to them for winning the division in dramatic fashion and props for taking it to the Tigers. If anyone but Verlander had pitched game 5, they probably would be in the ALCS.

I sat in the stadium in silence after hanging my head again. but this time it was different, i was upset but i know the A's were NOT even supposed to make it this far. It's been a crazy season and honestly one of the most exciting A's years i ever got to witness.

(It's hard to NOT be romantic about baseball)
beane was right lol

Billy Beane already making good moves. Chris Young is a pretty good player and will bounce back to be another power hitting threat in your lineup. Question is he going to move one of your outfielders??? Can't speak too much on Pennington since I didn't get to see too much of him but Chris Young definitely is a good player.

pennington was a good middle infielder, and I liked that he could switch hit but he's garbage. I'll take Young, he's under team control through 2014 and yes they can definitely package him in a trade, especially if he plays half a season.

but what does young mean for coco crisp? You cant have 2 center fielders unless you gonna cycle through cepedes young and crisp through center and DH spots. Gotta keep crisp though, dude is clutch

Didnt want to find the regular season thread, but if yall aint heard, our boy Reddick won the gold glove. YEE!!!! He deserved it.

First A's outfielder to win it since dwayne murphy in 85, first guy on our squad to win one since chavez in 06, although, mark ellis deserved the gold glove multiple seasons but got shunned by the league for no reason

Josh Reddick has a rocket for an arm, i think he became 3rd all time in oakland history in outfield assists this year. cant wait to see them play next year.
