most interesting episode this season for me.

so is the singer on narcisse side? or chalkys side?

narcisse killed her mother when she was a child, strangled her in front of her, and has been manipulating and controlling her ever since. she was told by narcisse to bang chalky and keep him close, and is using that relationship to get stuff out of chalky. for instance he told chalky he was sending her somewhere else, chalky wanted her to stay, narcisse let her stay in exchange for that place narcisse did his play at for his weird libyan organization racist bullshit. shes basically narcisse's slave, and he told her to keep chalky at her place so prison dude could show up and bring him somewhere to kill him. but for whatever reasons, a new attachment to chalky, a new fear of narcisse, an old plan to break free from her master, she helped chalky at the last possible second. we still dont know why she helped chalky, but we know narcisse wont like it, and im pretty sure she cant go back to narcisse now.

itll be interesting to see how it plays out, and i hope chalky comes out on top. narcisse spews his hateful racist bullshit, and is killing blacks within the community with drugs and completely out of line murders. i hope the black community stands behind chalky, hes the much lesser of two evils. but he is what he is and doesn't hide behind a thesaurus or all this pretentious uplift our race bullshit while at the same time trying to destroy a large portion of it.

not really, he underestimated his girl since she saved him. chalky was seconds away from death, pernsley overpowered him in the end as planned.

also theres a running parallel between chalky & nucky. they both kept people who wanted to do them harm in their circle. dont forget eli plotted to have nucky killed.

yes, and if it wasnt already obvious i think they'll spell it out clearly and kill the singer as well, much like how billy got caught in the crossfire. does chalky react like nucky, by becoming more distrustful and ruthless, and pushing away his wife and family? thats also all taken from the godfather as well, the way michael lost appolonia and turned into a more paranoid ruthless version of himself.

well yea, that was the catalyst, but not the reason. unless you mean shes actually in love with him or something, which i think could be true. which is sad, because that means almost certainly shes going to die a gruesome death, like billy did and appolonia did in the godfather. which would mean chalky will turn more nucky like, probably turn paranoid and ruthless and push his family away like nucky and michael corleone did. ive been waiting for him this whole season to wisen up but itd be sad for it to happen that way. at least id hope theyd raise him up to be a peer of nucky rather than a chess piece. or they could even kill the singer, then he dies too, in some kind of 'hes no nucky' type message. which would be a waste of a great character, but would prop nucky up to look more powerful and calculating.

i think the scenario will likely be: open war with narcisse, singer dies, chalky is on his heels and needs nuckys help like nucky needed chalkys last season. the big what if is if nucky helps or turns his back on him.

i wont guess either way until we find out if eli turned rat and what nucky does about it. if eli turns rat and nucky kills him, i think nucky would also turn his back on chalky and the season will end showing him as a completely ruthless sociopath like michael corleone was at the end of the godfather 2. if eli turned rat or did something else and nucky and eli get the son out of that agents web, then i think nucky would save chalky. anyway thats just all speculation, thanks for reading lol

well i guess that answered if nucky would support chalky lol. the racist standup and jungle music while chalky was confronting narcisse was a little over the top. chalky better not die otherwise his over the top ignorance this season plus all the racist shit this season and past seasons will be a fucked up end to what i feel is one of the more interesting characters ive been rooting for

van alden is hilarious especially the bed room / making it rain scene

richard showing up at nuckys house materialising out of the dark had me dieing lol. "i got married." "you stopped by to tell me you got married!?" "no."

interesting angle with gillian and that dude. wonder who hes working with and whats going on. shes the master manipulator though and looked like she already sensed he was playing her in that scene. who knows what the hell is going on... if any1 has theories plz share

i think nucky helps chalky. he told eli there is a bond between them. and didnt straight up say the debt was paid. kinda danced around it when eli brought it up. maybe he gives richard the job of helping take out narcisses.

Well Nucky had what's his face (Milton) do those background checks on him and he kept coming back clean, but yeah I still don't see why he'd have him there to fuck with Lansky. Or why Knox would be blowing guys heads off with a hundred witnesses.

I'm anxious to see where Richard's going to come into play too. He feels like Chekhov's gun after that scene with Chalky showing him respect.

I figured it was Nucky, but can't really be sure. Called for the escort to get Chalky away, found out Narcisse is a boss, calls again to put in the hit.

Err, wait. Did Nucky call the mayor for the escort? I don't remember, but Narcisse is cool with the mayor now so he could've tipped him off and then Narcisse set up the hit.
