BECUZ I WATCH EVERY WARRIORS GAME & I'M TIRED OF SEEING THEM LOSE....RANDOLPH WAS GOOD AT LSU..I KNOW WHAT HE CAN DO...WHEN PLAYERS HAVE RAW TALENT LIKE THAT YOU SHOULDN'T BE WORRIED IF THEY ARE A ROOKIE OR NOT...YOU SHOULD BE WORRIED ABOUT HOW THEY CAN HELP YOUR TEAM WIN....HE NEEDS 2 PLAY & GET HIS CONFIDENCE LEVEL BACC WHERE IT WAS WHEN HE LEFT COLLEGE
i feel you on that somewhat, especially his confidence. but if you were watching practices and see who really put in the effort in practice it might tell something. randolph's attitude has been better this last week or so according to Nelson. but who should randolph take minutes away to get experience? he makes less then most of the squad, so wouldnt you want to play the players you are paying millions to? instead of a 14th pick rookie contract? i dont think he should play over Jackson, Ellis, Crawford, Maggette, Biedrnis, Turiaf or Azubuike. so for the final player (most good teams have 7-8 man rotations) he would have to beat out Bellinelli and Wright when they come back and cj watson as of now. he should be getting minutes but if he plays PF he would have to matchup against Pau Gasol, Duncan, Boozer, Zach Randolph, Lamarcus Aldridge, etc (thats just the western conference). all the PF's of the world Bosh etc. but i see him getting a lot of minutes once there is around 20 games left or so.

when he does play tho he shows that he has promise, which is encouraging but to have a roster of mature men vs. a 19 old rookie is hard to justify. this season overall is frustrating but its almost over.

But you can't leave him out there when he picks up 3 fouls in 4 minutes, turns the ball over, runs the plays wrong and shoots il-advised 17 footers. He becomes a liability and isn't helping you win.

He has his stretches where he plays well, but he also has ^^^ those kinds of outings which is natural for a rookie adjusting to the NBA game when he only spent 1 year in college. Shit, how long did it take Jermaine O'Neal to get to All-Star level? It wasn't half a rookie season, I'll tell you that.

Notice how Morrow doesn't have the same issues that Randolph does and he gets consistenter (had to make up a word) minutes.

IT'S NOT THE PLAYERS-IT'S THE COACH

WELL BEING THAT I'M RAW IN HOOP IN REAL LIFE(ASK CHUCC)..I FEEL EXPERIENCE=COMPOSURE...THERE IS AN IMPORTANT INTANGIBLE IN B-BALL CALLED COURT PRESENCE THAT ONLY A REAL PLAYER WOULD UNDERSTAND...MY STATEMENT IS DEFINITELY JUST OPINION BUT I FEEL HE CAN EXCEL WITH THE TEAM THE WARRIORS HAVE IF HE WAS GIVEN THE FREEDOM 2 BE HIMSELF...BELIEVE ME IT MATTERS...I DON'T KNOW ABOUT PRACTICE-BUT I KNOW BASKETBALL & IT'S NOT ABOUT HOW OLD YOU ARE OR EVEN HOW YOU ADJUST...IT'S ABOUT WHAT YOUR CONTRIBUTION 2 THE TEAM IS OR CAN BE...INSTEAD OF PLAYING 4 GUARDS(CUZ JACCSON IS A GUARD 2 ME)I FEEL RANDOLPH WOULD BE A SOLID 3 AND MAYBE EVEN 4 IF HE BULKS HIS BODY UP SOME.....NELSON JUST IS 2 OLD SCHOOL 4 THE YOUTH ON THE WARRIORS TEAM(MY OPINION)...IF I WAS HIM MY LINEUP WOULD BE: CRAWFORD AT THE 1(WHERE HE WOULD HAVE 2 CREATE 4 OTHERS & NOT HIMSELF) MONTA AT THE 2(HE'S NOT A POINT GUARD IN MY EYES) MAGGETTE AT THE 3(HE'S THE MOST CONSISTENT WARRIOR) RANDOLPH AT THE 4(BASICALLY 4 THE ENERGY) AND BIEDRENS AT THE 5!!!
I KNOW IT WOULD BE A MORALE ISSUE BUT JACCSON NEEDS 2 BE THE SPARK OFF THE BENCH WHILE MONTA & CO REST...THEIR PLAYING STYLES CLASH IF YOU ASK ME & JACCSON IS A 2 GUARD THAT WANTS 2 BE AT THE 1 BUT ENDS UP PLAYING THE 3 & EVEN SOMETIMES THE 4 POSITION(SHAME ON NELLY)..THEN YOU GOT A SUPPORTING CAST OF AZUBUIKE,TURIAF,WRIGHT,BELINELLI,WATSON & WHOEVER ELSE THEY WANT 2 PLAY...I JUST THINK IT WOULD BE A BETTER CHEMISTRY(MY OPINION)...I PLAYED HOOP & STILL PLAY HOOP & NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS I KNOW CONSISTENCY IS KEY IN THIS GAME....NOW HOW MANY DIFFERENT STARTING LINEUPS HAVE THE W'S HAD THIS YEAR????THAT'S WHY THE RECORD IS WHAT IT IS...NOBODY EVEN HAS STABILITY....BASKETBALL SHOULD NOT BE A GUESSING GAME...IT SHOULD BE AN EXECUTION GAME...AND CONFIDENCE IS 80 PERCENT OF THE BATTLE....IF ANYBODY DISAGREES COME SEE ME ON THE COURT...I'LL SHOW YOU WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT

Experience does equal composure for the most part and is especially important to a developing player but it's not the only factor in development. You probably got cats who've been in the league for years who can't crack a lineup because they can't remember how to run the plays, or fall asleep on defense, or turn the ball over, etc... Has nothing to do with composure. You can be as composed as Fedor but if you can't keep your mind from wandering then you will ride pine.

To me, there isn't a magic button that fixes Randolph's situation. Nellie may be behind the times but damn, it aint even the All-Star break yet and cats is actin like if Randolph doesn't get run RIGHT NOW, he'll never develop into anything. What happens if he gets all the run in the world and still struggles?

Again, look at how consistent Morrow has been when he gets run and compare it to how consistent Randolph has been when he gets run and you'll see why Morrow gets more run (not taking into consideration they play different positions)

And you trippin, Maggette is better off the bench. If Monta can get back, and the team runs from jump, bringin Maggette off the bench to change the pace (to me) is a good thing to keep the other team off balance. Not saying they can't run with him in the game, but you have to use him to his strength which is getting to the foul line. This slows the game down which is a direct contrast to what the Ws are supposed to be about.

WELL FIRST I WANT 2 ASK....DO YOU FOLLOW COLLEGE BASKETBALL???IF NOT,THEN I UNDERSTAND YOUR REASONING...I WATCHED MORROW IN COLLEGE & I ALSO WATCHED RANDOLPH IN COLLEGE.MORROW IS WHAT YOU CALL A DEAD EYE SHOOTER..HE HAS A SWEET JUMPER & WON'T MISS IF HE'S OPEN BUT IS YET 2 BLOSSOM IN OTHER CATEGORIES..RANDOLPH HAS MUCH MORE STAR POTENTIAL THAN MORROW(ON BOTH ENDS OF THE COURT)...FROM WHAT I SAW IN COLLEGE...ADJUSTING IN THE NBA DOES TAKE TIME BUT I'M JUST CALLING IT LIKE I SEE IT.....I CAN LOOK IN RANDOLPH'S EYES WHEN HE'S IN THE GAME & TELL HE'S CONFUSED BUT I'M SURE NELLY IS FOCUSED ON HIM LEARNING CUZ HE'S A ROOKIE & NOT JUST LETTING HIM PLAY....THE WARRIORS DON'T HAVE MANY GREAT PLAYS OR THEY WOULDN'T LOSE GAMES LIKE THEY DO...& THEY DON'T PLAY D....THEY ARE A TRANSITION TEAM...WHICH MEANS YOU RUN A SET OFFENSE(NOT PLAYS)...IF YOU WATCH THEM LIKE I DO YOU WILL REALIZE THAT MOST OF THEIR GAME IS PICC & ROLL OR LETTING SOMEONE CREATE OFF THE DRIBBLE & TRY 2 FIND SOMEONE OPEN 4 THE 3.....THE BOTTOM LINE IS THE SYSTEM IS FAILING...DID YOU FORGET THEY WON 48 GAMES LAST YEAR....IF THEY ARE REBUILDING WHY NOT GIVE YOUR "FIRST" ROUND DRAFT PICC QUALITY TIME & EXPERIENCE SO HE CAN BE GREAT...NELSON IS STILL IN THE GAME 2 SATISFY HIMSELF..THAT'S ALL,THAT'S IT...RANDOLPH WILL BE A FACTOR IN THE LEAGUE..I BELIEVE THAT BECUZ I BELIEVE I RECOGNIZE TALENT....I DON'T THINK IT WILL BE WITH THE WARRIORS THOUGH...& IF HE STAYS ON THE WARRIORS IT MIGHT RUIN HIS CAREER....LOOK AT ALEX SMITH...I ALWAYS SAID IF THE NINERS WOULD HAVE PLAYED HIM INITIALLY HE WOULD HAVE STAYED FEELING LIKE A #1 OVERALL PICC...YOU HAVE 2 HAVE PHYSICAL TALENT 2 MAKE IT IN PROFESSIONAL SPORTS BUT THE HARDEST THING 4 A NEW PRO ATHLETE 2 REGAIN IS CONFIDENCE....I'VE BEEN WATCHING SPORTS SINCE THE 70'S & I BELIEVE THAT'S A FACT

playing for lsu and balling doesnt mean he will be a star player in the nba. he has to put his time in. what he does ont he court dictates his playing time. meaning if he balls better than the guys ahead of him at practice, his minutes in the game increase. randolph is not the key. he is light in the ass to be a 4 and not a good enough shooter to be a 3. he has length and can jump out of the gym and those things are plus's. but to say he should be a starter and get starter minutes in crazy tay. i like what he brings in his role. but to increase it would have us losing more than we already do, by a lot deeper margin. and i play hoop too. ask fab.

Nah, I don't follow college ball ... UNLESS I keep hearing the same kid's name over and over and over until I'm forced to see what all the fuss is about. I have been watching more than usual this year for some reason though.

I watched Beasley (Mr. "I never played man defense before") a little bit last year as he sleep walked through games but the shit came easy to him. That shit aint so easy now, lol

I'll disagree with you about Morrow. He hustles his ass off and makes a lot of sound basketball decisions on both ends. I always see him in there battling for boards or just in there trying to keep the ball alive. He knows he can shoot, and he's starting to understand his rep around the league and he's adjusting. He doesn't force his shots if they're not there, he'll suck the defense in and make the appropriate play. He played all 4 years in college I believe, so he's a little more stable than Randolph.

I don't doubt Randolph will get there, he just aint gon get there next week like everyone wants, lol Mufuckas is so afraid he's going to end up being Tyrus Thomas Pt II that they're going overboard with trying to fast forward his development

EVERYTHING MORROW DOES IS EXPECTED OUT OF AN NBA PLAYER...& YES I ACTUALLY THINK RANDOLPH SHOULD HAVE STAYED IN COLLEGE BUT I DON'T KNOW HIS PERSONAL SITUATION & IF ANY BLACC MAN FROM THE SOUTH HAS AN OPPORTUNITY 2 MAKE SOME MILLIONS I WILL TELL HIM "GET YOUR MONEY"....I FIGURED YOU DIDN'T WATCH HIM IN COLLEGE..I DID...HIS STATS WEREN'T ALL THAT BUT I'M TALKING ABOUT POTENTIAL...HE HAD A NICE JUMPER IN COLLEGE..EVEN FROM 3...BUT I PLAY BASKETBALL ON A REGULAR BASIS & IF I TAKE A BREAK WHEN I FINALLY GET BACC ON THE COURT...MY PRESENCE HAS 2 BE RE-ESTABLISHED & SOMETIMES IT TAKES A WHILE 2 FIND MY JUMPER....IT WASN'T MEANT 2 BE PERSONAL SO I GAVE AN OPINION...NOT SAYING I STUDY THE WARRIORS BUT I WATCH THEM ENOUGH & HAVE A HIGH ENOUGH BASKETBALL IQ 2 OFFER WHAT I THINK WILL WORK....THAT'S ALL...I'M NOT EVEN A RANDOLPH FAN LIKE THAT...I JUST KNOW TALENT WHEN I SEE IT......HE HAS INTANGIBLES(IF YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS)--MORROWS ONLY INTANGIBLE(THAT I SEE) IS A TOP OF THE LINE JUMP SHOT....I'M TALKING ABOUT A WINNING CHEMISTRY(4 THE FUTURE OF COURSE)

i dont know how true that it. but matt barnes just posted this on his blog recently.

(Oakland) is the place in the NBA that I look forward to playing at the most. When I was there, we had a great family atmosphere with great teammates, a great coach and just a really good organization.

They say that your team is you family and that was the team that I was with when my mom died. The whole organization drove to Sacramento for the funeral and really gave me a lot of support when I was down and out. Baron (Davis), Steve, Monta, Al Harrington and Jason Richardson are really my family as far as basketball goes.

The closest relationship I’ve ever had with a coach in the NBA was with Warriors Head Coach Don Nelson. You know, we were kind of like a father and son. The first season we got along great, but last year we butted heads a little bit. It was an up-and-down year for me on and off the court, but to this day, he still text-messages me and we’re still in contact. We’re still very close.

I owe him a lot because he really got my career revamped, back on track and to where I am today. He’s such a great coach because trusts you as a player and he allows you to just go out there and play. He lets you figure out the game on your own. He gives you a general plan and allows you to be creative within that plan.

We were so successful because he didn’t put too many constraints on us. He trusted us out there and allowed us to be men out on the court.

No Morrow in 3-pt. shootout.

Kapono will match 3-pointers against Eastern Conference All-Star reserves Danny Granger of the Indiana Pacers and Rashard Lewis of the Orlando Magic, as well as Mike Bibby of the Atlanta Hawks, Roger Mason of the San Antonio Spurs and Daequan Cook of the Miami Heat.

Lewis leads the group with 137 3-pointers this season, followed by Granger with 120, Bibby with 114, Cook with 105, Mason with 103 and Kapono with 52.

Morrow is 42/84 on 3's.
