Keep in mind that NO didn't have Chandler who is always a game changer against the Ws. Don't get too excited ...
keep in mind monta is not the same monta yet, and belinelli and wright were out and hate on them all u want, but they really do provide some sort of spark off the bench

why cant we have turiaf at the 4 and biedrins at the 5. it works wonders. if they get in foul trouble we still got randolph, kurz davidson and wright when he gets back. i mean nellie started kurz before, i dont see the harm in giving him some pt off the bench

No one is hating on anything. The Warriors have trouble with any team that has size/length at the center position.

Belinelli and Wright aren't as consistent a threat as the CP3/Chandler tandem is. If Chandler is there, then the option for CP3 to penetrate and throw that lob to him is ALWAYS there which opens up the Hornets entire offense.

Whoever was guarding Peja (Monta for the most part) was able to stay at home on him because he didn't have to help on CP3s penetration due to the fact that Chandler wasn't there.

chandler's presence in the game would have made zero difference. the hornets played the warriors style of ball and couldn't hang.

Is Randolph working his way off the team?

Janny Hu, Chronicle Staff Writer

It might not come on the court, or directly from himself, but Anthony Randolph is set to start making some noise with the Warriors.

Randolph's advisers said Sunday that they have started looking for replacements for fired agent B.J. Armstrong and expect to have new representation in place as soon as the league-mandated, cooling-off period ends Feb. 12.

It's a speedy timetable that reflects their growing desire to change the tone of Randolph's rookie season, and though it leaves exactly one week before the trade deadline on Feb. 19, his camp insisted the current focus is on improving his situation in Oakland - not getting away from it.

"We certainly want it to be worked out so that Anthony can stay a Warrior for a long, long time, but there's got to be some fire to the situation," said Will Marsaw, Randolph's uncle. "Our message wasn't getting across, so we're interviewing agents. ... We wanted somebody who could be very, very aggressive."

Randolph has appeared in 33 games this season, averaging 5.5 points and 3.8 rebounds in 12.8 minutes, and his first-year plight isn't an unfamiliar one.

His camp believes that the 14th overall draft pick has performed well when given extended minutes and deserves a chance to learn on the job during this lost Warriors' season.

Coach Don Nelson maintains that he isn't handing out any gifts and that his younger players must prove themselves in practice.

Armstrong was among those preaching patience to Randolph and his family, but the approach appears to have backfired against their sense of urgency to have the 19-year-old develop as a pro.

"There was definitely no personal issue with B.J. or WMG," Marsaw said, referring to Wasserman Media Group, the Los-Angeles-based agency for which Armstrong worked under high-profile agent Arn Tellem. "They did a good job for him. I just think approach-wise, we weren't on the same page ...

"I'm not there in practice and I don't know what Nellie is doing, but I do know Anthony and I also know the team isn't doing well. At what point do you say, 'OK, I'm letting my young guys play?' "

Neither Armstrong nor the Warriors returned calls for comment, and it remains to be seen whether Randolph's agent switch effectively will pressure Golden State to change its approach to the season.

Though the Warriors are well out of the playoff race, they still need to assess their high-priced core now that Monta Ellis, Corey Maggette, Stephen Jackson and Jamal Crawford are relatively healthy.

Team officials have maintained that they have no interest in trading Randolph or injured forward Brandan Wright, even if Nelson's spotty use of his young big men - or his playing of undrafted rookie Rob Kurz ahead of them at times - has helped encourage suitors.

Golden State has had one player, forward Al Harrington, demand a trade and ultimately force his way out of Oakland this season after his relationship soured with Nelson. The Warriors dealt Harrington to the Knicks for Crawford on Nov. 21.
