See this is this problem. People ain't showing they care by breaking and burning cars. They just using this shit as an excuse to act like typical niggas. My mama is good friends with Oscar's mom I know his mom is uneasy about what is going on. They burning down cars, getting arrested by the 100s, and fucking up businesses in the name of Oscar Grant? Fuck naw they doing that shit because that is what niggas in Oakland do. Act a damn fool.
Do any of yall remember what happened to parts of East Oakland after the Raiders got their ass whooped in the Super Bowl in 2002? Niggas went crazy. They damn near burned down the MacDonalds on 59th and E14. Fucked up hella cars, niggas was getting popped, robbed....Do you think this shit happened because of the game? Hell naw. Niggas need to go home and stop feeding the fire. There is a right and wrong way of doing things. This ain't the right way.
I'm all for protest, and I probably would have been there if my pops would have let me out the house, but niggas hopping on random people cars yellin "Dumass Deep East Oakland shit" ain't the appropriate. EMO ass white kids busting windows of storefront businesses in Down Town Oakland ain't protest. That's fucking stupid. My family owns Everrete N Jones BBQ and one of the establishments is right over there by 14th and Broadway. My auntie gotta get up and go to work in the morning it wont be cool if she shows up for work and sees her fucking windows busted by "protesters." What the fuck she got to do with Oscar's death? Why is she getting penalized? Dumbass niggas need to think before they act.
the problem is youngsters these days have no sense of respect. they are clueless to the bigger picture of whats really going on. they don't think about their actions and who it could affect before they do what they do. they weren't thinking of oscar's daughter when stompin that sun roof in. they wasn't thinking of his moms and uncs not beeing able to sleep tonight when breakin that window to a black owned business. in everyone of these "riot" videos, foos stompin cars, breaking business' windows, ect are all youngsters in fitted caps, dreads, all over hoodies, suburban liberal kids who just want to be down for the cause/rebel ect. i doubt there was too many grown ass men out there tonight destroying our community. sad thing is this same thing would happen in any major urban area with dense minority population. some places even worse. than this. times have changed. this ain't the 70's when hippie kids burned trees and sang songs. as sad as it is this is only the beginning.
there are many diff. forms of protest- destructive protest being one. Riots have been going on for a very long time around the world. We didnt act any more "ignorant" then any other group of people who have participated in this form of protest. I just hope no one got hurt and business that were hurt can get everything back together.
Damn thats all bad, I feel bad for those peoples cars they aint do shit. On the other hand its messed up what the popo did to dude, and I think if the youngins gon riot they should man up and focus that anger toward the source of the problem(cops, government buildings). Its cowardly to bust in some random dudes window and its not hurtin anybody but they peers imo.
